Geez I'm saying their courses are a lot of work and most students did not take the tests. They didn't have time as per my academic advisor. I was offered them, but couldn't find the time to read the required textbook in addition to the classes I was enrolled in. The tests haven't been very popular for ages. I wouldn't be surprised to see them completely gone soon. There are way less than there were last year. RE: CSU Global SSAs - sanantone - 08-06-2021 Somehow, TESU, Excelsior, Ohio University and other colleges have been able to make credit-by-exam and challenge exams work for decades. TESU and Excelsior transcript these as residential credits, which helps a lot. In my opinion, here's where CSU Global went wrong. 1. They stopped admitting non-degree-seeking students who wanted to take CBEs/SSAs. 2. They decided to make the CBEs more like courses, which resulted in the SSA format. 3. The credits are not transcribed as residential credits, which is why CSU Global put a warning on the website that the credits may not be transferable. 4. CSU Global only promoted the exams in-house. 5. They changed proctor companies a few times. I don't know what was going on there, but they chose a couple of very small companies that likely weren't stable. |
