RE: 2026 Electric TELO Compact Truck (American Made) - Duneranger - 03-11-2025 This thing is hideous. I have owned some short bed trucks like the Avalanche, Explorer crossover, Ranger and Tacoma. Small compact trucks are pretty useless, I found that every time I needed to haul or put something in the bed the towing capacity was not high enough or the bed was entirely too small. My 4runner was more practical... The market for this train wreck is crazy small...especially an EV which will likely be underpowered in the torque department Just get a hybrid Tundra, F-150 or long bed Tacoma.......like a normal person 2026 Electric TELO Compact Truck (American Made) - NotJoeBiden - 03-12-2025 (03-11-2025, 07:06 PM)Ares Wrote: So I take it you never studied or researched this topic before? Why am I not surprised. I have published peer reviewed research on alternative energy. So yes, I have studied this before. EVs have been made well before they were subsidized. That is an outright lie. https://www.energy.gov/articles/history-electric-car (03-11-2025, 07:06 PM)Ares Wrote: I know you LOVE paying for all those rich folk to buy electric vehicles, but I don't. Lol okay. I am not in favor of their current form anyways so by all means, stop them. (03-11-2025, 07:06 PM)Ares Wrote: If they are so in demand and market competitive then remove all the subsidies. This is just whataboutism. I am for removing them. Electric cars are still competitive. Subsidies typically only cover a fraction of the total cost, and much of that just goes to the dealers who mark up the price of the car to match the subsidy. That is why they wear out tires faster as Ares pointed out. Most people dont need large trucks and many people who have a truck dont even haul with them.
