RE: Degree Plan, help? I - infradata.it@gmail.com - 04-16-2025 Thank you! that soulds doable, I will review it tomorrow morning. I just hope I can escape "math", with my other seemingly "over" wants (like I had mentioned in thread). If not, I'll find something, I'm sure... I must RE: Degree Plan, help? I - Hotdogman1 - 04-17-2025 Well, I think UMPI requires Business Math, which I think was basic algebra + financial words + a little accounting? I don't remember; I didn't study, submitted the assignments and just took the final on the second day. It's not timed or proctored. RE: Degree Plan, help? I - infradata.it@gmail.com - 04-17-2025 I see, in a brief look: "Intro to College Mathematics" ... I have The SeeMore Impact Labs CMS Certificate of High Performance (3, math), which should match its equal. Maybe the equal to Business Math? ... either way, appears it covers math needs, which is great RE: Degree Plan, help? I - bjcheung77 - 04-17-2025 My suggestion is the same as what I recommended earlier in your previous post/thread, with a minor modification though: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-Advise-me-plz-AAA-or-AAS-even-AGS-for-remedial-student Basically, I would change that BLS to a BBA concentration in PM & IS as mentioned by a senior member. You're hitting 3 spots with one shot. Business Admin, Project Management, Info Systems - plus you have the classes that can go towards the MAOL later if you wanted. From looking at what you currently bring to the table, you're doing the balanced mix/match trifecta I always recommend, cost, ease, speed to finish. Plus the other trifecta of certs, degree, experience, to bring into the mix, you want the final trifecta - combo of associates/bachelors, ROI/Value, and the option to customize or personalize that educational goal. I mostly have a serious lack of GE credits (Eng, Sci, Humanities? unsure what politics counts as at the moment, late here). I "can" pass "Intro to College Mathematics", I will hate myself, but I can Modern States CLEP Eng Comp Modular (6) + Sophia, for the math, plus Environmental Sci & Intro to Sociology? Thats a good place to start? (I think my Politics will cover whatever USA Gov Politics does) RE: Degree Plan, help? I - Hotdogman1 - 04-17-2025 UMPI General Education: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/UMPI_!General_Education_Requirements_Roadmap BBA PM IS https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/UMPI_BABA_Project_Management_Degree_Plan Make a excel spreadsheet. Link to UMPI Transfer database. It's a database that shows how courses previously transferred in. https://mainestreetcs.maine.edu/psp/CSPR..._GUEST.GBL "ACE has it as math: 3, Quantitative Reasoning" It doesn't matter. ACE provides a recommendation of how they think a course should transfer in. Universities can choose what they want to do. At UMPI, it comes in as 3 credits of general electives. RE: Degree Plan, help? I - infradata.it@gmail.com - 04-17-2025 I will make the spreadsheet, I will co-create a 2nd one with an a.i. assistant, just in case. Thank you RE: Degree Plan, help? I - LevelUP - 04-17-2025 Hello fellow proompter engineer professional! Holy hell! With all your certs, I'm surprised nobody mentioned going for the UMPI BAS, which seems perfect for your situation. https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/UMPI_Bachelor_of_Applied_Science,_BAS_Degree_Plan RE: Degree Plan, help? No worries, just get the general education from Sophia.org and the remaining requirements from Study.com, when you reach over 90+ credits for transfer and only remaining 10 classes/30 credits for residency, you can complete those at UMPI. I originally recommended the BLS to BBA as I didn't see the OP have an associates of applied science or one of the VW BOG AAS, I would have mentioned the BAS though, I still feel the BBA is better as it hits the three subject areas I mentioned earlier. |
