Did anyone create "visual aids" for their Public Speaking speech? It looks like that is one of the 5 scoring criteria. Do you think I should do it with little or no visual aids, since I only need about a 65-70 to pass? (I can get 70-77 or more on the exam portion.) I am thinking of doing it at Straighterline instead of Davar. It seems like they need about the same amount of time and effort.

I have written TESU to find out how ACCT 301 and ACCT 302 come in. If anyone else has asked TESU, I would like to know what they said, in case we get different answers Smile

So we aren't trusting their equivalency chart?

Just got back MAN 390 as well. 4 tests over the weekend; though not nearly as much as some, I am super stoked to have knocked them out in such a short time! Scored 91, somehow... and I only partially answered two of the essay questions. But again, no complaints.

Super stoked!!!

Edit: Adding in relevant content. As excited as I am for the progress, the above serves no purpose for anyone else reading this post.

MAN 390, Managerial Communications, was completed by studying the PDF Study Guide only, and didn't even touch the quizzes. Huge thanks to strawberryxfuzz on this one! Much to strawberryxfuzz's suggestion, I read over the PPT a couple times, but slowly and carefully the first time, and the second time to confirm what I could and could not remember. Having done 4 of these exams at Davar, there was a pattern evident beyond the 60 Multiple Choice/10 Essay format; you should remember literally the entire study guide to have the best shot forward. This may seem like a "duh" observation, but as this is the first time I have completed courses in this manner, I only have the standard brick and mortar experience to draw from, which is: Not everything taught in class will be used on the test, and its difficult to pick out what the useless parts may be. Each time doing the tests, there was always couple slides that remained fuzzy to me, and reviewing the exam each time really brought it home that... it feels like they cover pretty much everything in the guide.

I don't know if this is going to be the case for all of them, but I am going to proceed under this assumption until I run into a wall I ricochet off of.

Regarding the confirmation from TESU for certain courses, I actually emailed Davar about it earlier today inquiring them if they can guarantee it. The response, in a short and sweet one-liner, is that they cannot guarantee it but received the equivalencies from TESU. So I sent TESU an email asking them to confirm the equivalencies, and attached the two image files that I believe were issued by Davar. Pending response from them now.

The hesitation happened given one individual's experience regarding Information Literacy, I believe, and though I want to use a couple vacation days from work and really buckle down to hammer out some more classes, it would offer a significant peace of mind that there wasn't going to be an aspect of Russian roulette to the courses. I mean, if at least one course cannot be guaranteed equivalent as it hasn't been reviewed by TESU, that may call into question all the others that are listed as well.

I got a 97 on Principles of Sales! That is really amazing given how I thought I had a good chance of failing the exam once it began, once I saw a couple of the essay questions. Then even after I saw all the essay questions, I was more sure I was going to get under 70%. But I remembered more and more as the exam went on, and I had really put in the effort to learn the material. I did not think this was any easier than Organizational Behavior. Org was easier because I knew more of the material in advance, although I knew a little of the sales info. So it would be hard to fail the course. I would have to get about 40% on the paper Smile

This makes me feel much better about future exams. I was especially worried about American Government because of the feedback today. I still worry about it, but not as much.

I am taking Management Info Systems in an hour, and I may knock out Info Literacy after that. Normally I don't feel I can do more than one in a day, but that one is easy.

10 taken, 8 passed.. (grr, missed those last 2 by a point or two)... I'll take it though - setting myself up for another 6 or so! I hope their stated equivalencies actually work.

For what its worth, TESU Academic Advising has pre-approved Davar's two basic Accounting Courses as the following:

1 ACC-102 Prin. of Managerial Accounting 02/02/22 --- ( 3.00) ACC-102 *PL *PTE
1 ACC-101 Prin. of Financial Accounting 02/02/22 --- ( 3.00) ACC-101 *PL *PTE

Just woke up to my score for American Government - I passed with an 81%!! And with the provided breakdown, I received a 75% on the multiple choice section and a 90% on the essays. How I managed such a high score on the essays is waaaay beyond me because I was sure I bombed like all of them. Be sure to study the PDF well and pay attention to the section about the foreign policy for the rise of terrorism and the Cold War. Also if your not very knowledgeable in this subject definitely read and try to memorize the small details. Unlike some exams I took where most of the exam relevant information was bold or highlighted, I found this was not the case for AG.

I just took Information Literacy, and I hope that wasn't a waste of time and money. I forgot that TESU might not be accepting it. I meant to read more of the posts about it. But in the worst case, I guess I did learn a few things.

Got an A in Man Comms. Just study the slides and you will be fine. Going to try to at least do Intro to Finance and Intro to Accounting before the end of the month.

Anyone have input on the Intro to Finance exam? Does one need to study the slides and exams both, or just the slides?

Icampy, There are some good tips already posted in Intro to Finance. I took it a back in Feb and got the book and read the quizzes. To me it was over kill. I think you will do great by reading the pdf and the info provided by eriehiker. Good luck!
