call ALEKS today - Can219 - 10-06-2013 Is TESC Accepting it?? I just got back from vacation and can't believe this! call ALEKS today - ironheadjack - 10-06-2013 If the course was completed before 9/30, yes. call ALEKS today - UptonSinclair - 10-06-2013 With more colleges using Aleks for remedial math instruction, the cynic in me wonders if this is a way to avoid competing with an industry that is a major customer. Sorry sir, if you want credit for Aleks you will have to pay tuition at your local community college. call ALEKS today - JBtesc - 10-07-2013 Glen1 Wrote:It is disturbing and unethical for ALEKS website to continue to suggest their courses/program are approved by ACE for college credit. They should at the very lease put a disclaimer. I've been too upset/discouraged to check that it still says that on the site... does it really still imply you can get ACE approved credit for it? I actually have a current subscription and don't know whether to cancel it or not. Been busy with other things and haven't had much time to devote to it but I don't want to cancel it if its going to be restored. If its not what it is advertised as I expect a refund. :/ call ALEKS today - JBtesc - 10-07-2013 sklineho Wrote:Wow this is horrible, I hope they restore this soon. Looks like I was blessed to get my credit only a few weeks earlier. Lucky you! And well done getting it done in a timely manner! Just proves the old adage that hard work + good luck = success! lol I should have worked harder to get it done by now, just so much going on with classes and CLEPs! I now feel compelled to hurry up and get my FEMAs done before that becomes defunct as well. call ALEKS today - IrishJohn - 10-07-2013 UptonSinclair Wrote:With more colleges using Aleks for remedial math instruction, the cynic in me wonders if this is a way to avoid competing with an industry that is a major customer. Sorry sir, if you want credit for Aleks you will have to pay tuition at your local community college. You know, I was thinking the same thing. Wonder if ALEKS cut a deal with colleges and stands to make more money this way? I can't blame them from a business perspective if that's the case but it sucks for many here. call ALEKS today - EI2HCB - 10-07-2013 I just wrote to them a note requesting that the reconsider, I'll let you know the reply when I receive one. I was planning to use them to sort out my Math section for my degree. I'll have to wait and see what happens. call ALEKS today - gunit1 - 10-07-2013 An ALEKS employee said this to me: "ALEKS is in process of getting their contract with ACE taken care of". Take it for what its worth lol. call ALEKS today - JBtesc - 10-07-2013 This is the email I got from them today; Dear XXXXXXXX, Correct, ALEKS is no longer on the approved list for ACE credits. To receive a refund you will need to contact us at 714-619-7090 and please reference this case number. Thank you! Pedro Garcia Customer Support Representative Mine didn't say anything about any efforts to change this.
call ALEKS today - Beate - 10-07-2013 I e-mailed them on Saturday and received a reply today: "...We are advising all of our users who are going through ACE to let you know that we are in the process of looking into continuing our affiliation with ACE accreditation at this time. Once we have a definitive answer regarding this issue, we will contact you to advise you of our stance with ACE." So mine doesn't say anything about getting a refund, but I didn't ask for one (yet). |
