And there’s tons of other employers who have similar perks like Chipotle, Starbucks, t-mobile…. Just to name a few. https://www.estudentloan.com/blog/10-companies-will-help-pay-college RE: UMPI for BA/LS w/Accounting Minor - dfrecore - 07-25-2021 (07-25-2021, 12:02 PM)ss20ts Wrote:(07-24-2021, 10:32 PM)dfrecore Wrote: I did not realize that you had asked advice more than once. Obviously this won't work for everyone. Also, the pay isn't low, and it's not necessarily hard work. My kid likes her job, the pay is competitive for what she could get elsewhere, they work around her school schedule, she's been promoted twice in a year...I guess it just depends on your perspective. She thinks its a great deal, and is happy to stay there and get thousands in tuition for working at a job she'd do anyway. There are other companies that have similar benefits - Chipotle, Taco Bell, Walmart & Sam's Club all have the same deal with PurdueGlobal (as far as being fully-funded). I would recommend contacting them and see if they can make an exception. @ashkir, did call them up today and they do still have the requirement in place, admissions said it wasn't about age so much as having some experience of college. That confused me a bit. But either way, as an 18-year-old out of HS it's definitely not my profile! It's not too big a deal for me tbh, TESU has a lot of benefits for me too since it's the state that I live in. Most people in NJ just assume it's a branch of Rutgers or something and don't even associate it with being an online college.
