I mostly have a serious lack of GE credits (Eng, Sci, Humanities? unsure what politics counts as at the moment, late here).
I will make the spreadsheet, I will co-create a 2nd one with an a.i. assistant, just in case. Thank you
No worries, just get the general education from Sophia.org and the remaining requirements from Study.com, when you reach over 90+ credits for transfer and only remaining 10 classes/30 credits for residency, you can complete those at UMPI.

Holy hell! With all your certs, I'm surprised nobody mentioned going for the UMPI BAS, which seems perfect for your situation.
https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/UMPI_Bachelor_of_Applied_Science,_BAS_Degree_Plan
+1, Yes, I agree that would have been the best bet... I originally recommended the BLS to BBA as I didn't see the OP have an associates of applied science or one of the VW BOG AAS, I would have mentioned the BAS though, I still feel the BBA is better as it hits the three subject areas I mentioned earlier.
Oh ya, I forgot you need associate. At least though UMPI will give you lots of credits for all those certs. Maybe then BLS is best for the fastest degree.
RE: Degree Plan, help? I - infradata.it@gmail.com - 04-17-2025
OP holds no degree, not even BOG/AGS, only cert and credits. In the past I have never been able to handle the interactions needed at a degree awarding institution. (I was going to have the Pierpont AAS BOG, but their change of Governorship, F*CKED me out of getting a degree with them, and they are rude/dismissive of me and my questions/concerns, gave me stomach issues & a serious case of heart ischemia for weeks)
If the requirement to to hold any other degree, I do not qualify, sadly

Note: I need to triple check Groks work.... fast look says "drop PM/Bus" (need 24 more credit... naw), if I understand that correctly.
Sadly this title is not ideal, "BBA", is not the desired BSIT (anything that says an Information Tech "role" in title, sans "concentrations")

I’ll create an Excel spreadsheet to map Student’s existing credits (from the transcript provided) to the University of Maine at Presque Isle (UMPI) requirements for the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Project Management and Information Systems (PM & IS), focusing on the General Education requirements and filling in gaps with Sophia courses. I’ll also cross-check with the UMPI Transfer Database to ensure the Sophia courses align with historical transfer equivalents.
Step 1: UMPI BBA PM & IS Requirements Overview
From the provided links:
- General Education Curriculum (GEC): 40 semester hours (SH)
- Communication: 9 SH (ENG 101, ENG 121, one of COM 104, 106, 107, 200, 210, 212)
- Quantitative: 6 SH (MAT 101 or higher, one additional quantitative course)
- Humanities: 6 SH (two courses from different disciplines)
- Social Sciences: 6 SH (two courses from different disciplines)
- Natural Sciences: 7 SH (one lab science + one additional science)
- Global Perspective: 3 SH
- General Education Elective: 3 SH
Business Core: 42 SH (e.g., BUS 101, BUS 200, BUS 220, etc.)
PM & IS Concentration: 18 SH (e.g., BUS 240, BUS 343, BUS 345, etc.)
General Electives: 20 SH
Total for Degree: 120 SH (30 SH must be UMPI residency credits)
Step 2: Student’s Existing Credits (from Transcript)
From the transcript, Student has 87 SH of ACE-recommended credits (as calculated previously). I’ll map these to UMPI’s requirements, prioritizing GEC and electives, then business courses where applicable.
General Education Mapping
- Communication (9 SH):
- Sophia’s Foundations of English Composition (3 SH) → ENG 101
- Sophia’s Workplace Communication (3 SH) → COM 200 (per UMPI Transfer Database, Sophia’s COM 101 transfers as COM 200)
- Remaining: ENG 121 (3 SH)
Quantitative (6 SH):
SeeMore Impact Labs CSM Course (3 SH in Quantitative Reasoning) → MAT 101
Google Data Analytics (Introduction to R Programming, 3 SH) → Second quantitative course (MAT 1XX elective, per UMPI Transfer Database, Google’s Intro to R often transfers as a quantitative elective)

Google Digital Marketing (Introduction to Digital Marketing, 3 SH) → BUS 1XX (per UMPI Transfer Database, this often transfers as a global business elective, fulfilling the global perspective)
General Education Elective (3 SH):
ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (3 SH) → Elective (counts as GEC elective)
Total GEC Credits from Existing: 9 (Comm) + 6 (Quant) + 4 (Hum) + 6 (Soc) + 5 (Nat Sci) + 3 (Global) + 3 (Elective) = 36 SH
Remaining GEC Needs:
- ENG 121 (3 SH)
- Humanities: 2 SH (different discipline)
- Natural Sciences: 4 SH (lab science)
Business Core and Concentration Mapping
- Business Core (42 SH):
- Google Project Management (9 SH) → BUS 200 (3 SH), BUS 244 (3 SH), elective (3 SH)
- Real-World Product Management (6 SH) → BUS 101 (3 SH), BUS 220 (3 SH)

I’ll remake the plan for Student to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) at the University of Maine at Presque Isle (UMPI), using his existing credits from the transcript and filling in the remaining requirements with Sophia courses. I’ll cross-check with the UMPI Transfer Database to ensure transferability. Since UMPI doesn’t have a specific BSIT roadmap on the Degree Forum Wiki, I’ll base the degree structure on a typical BSIT program, adapting to UMPI’s General Education Curriculum (GEC) and IT-related requirements, while leveraging Student’s tech-heavy transcript.
Step 1: UMPI BSIT Requirements Overview
UMPI doesn’t have a BSIT program explicitly listed in the provided links, but a typical BSIT includes:
- General Education Curriculum (GEC): 40 semester hours (SH), same as the BBA (per [Web ID: 18]):
- Communication: 9 SH (ENG 101, ENG 121, one of COM 104, 106, 107, 200, 210, 212)
- Quantitative: 6 SH (MAT 101 or higher, one additional quantitative course)
- Humanities: 6 SH (two courses from different disciplines)
- Social Sciences: 6 SH (two courses from different disciplines)
- Natural Sciences: 7 SH (one lab science + one additional science)
- Global Perspective: 3 SH
- General Education Elective: 3 SH
IT Core: ~36–42 SH (e.g., Introduction to IT, Networking, Cybersecurity, Programming, Database Management, Systems Analysis, Capstone)
IT Electives: ~12–18 SH (e.g., Cloud Computing, Web Development, IT Project Management)
General Electives: ~20 SH
Total for Degree: 120 SH (30 SH must be UMPI residency credits)
I’ll assume UMPI’s BSIT would align with courses like COS 111 (Intro to Programming), COS 205 (Networking), COS 233 (Systems Analysis), and BUS 343 (Cybersecurity), based on typical IT programs and Student’s credits.
Step 2: Student’s Existing Credits (87 SH from Transcript)
From the previous calculation, Student has 87 SH of ACE-recommended credits. I’ll map these to the BSIT requirements.
General Education Mapping
- Communication (9 SH):
- Sophia Foundations of English Composition (3 SH) → ENG 101 (per UMPI Transfer Database [Web ID: 20])

Remaining GEC Needs:
- ENG 121 (3 SH)
- Humanities: 2 SH (different discipline)
- Natural Sciences: 4 SH (lab science)
IT Core Mapping (~39 SH Assumed)
- Intro to IT: Google IT Support (3 SH, Introduction to Computers) → COS 1XX (3 SH)

- IT Electives: Google IT Support (remaining 6 SH) + Fortinet Certified Associate (3 SH) → IT Electives (9 SH)
- Remaining IT Core: IT Project Management, Web Development, Capstone (9 SH, to be taken at UMPI for residency)
Total IT Core Credits from Existing: 30 SH
Remaining IT Core: 9 SH
General Electives (20 SH)
- Google UX Design (remaining 7 SH), TEEX (remaining 9 SH), IBM Cybersecurity (11 SH), etc., easily cover 20 SH.
Total Credits Applied: 36 (GEC) + 30 (IT Core) + 20 (Electives) = 86 SH (1 SH excess from transcript applied to electives)
Step 3: Fill Gaps with Sophia Courses
Remaining GEC Needs:
- ENG 121 (3 SH): Sophia English Composition II → ENG 121 (per UMPI Transfer Database)
- Humanities (2 SH): Sophia Introduction to Ethics (3 SH) → PHI 152 (exceeds by 1 SH, extra to electives)
- Natural Sciences (4 SH): Sophia Environmental Science (with lab, 4 SH) → BIO 1XX (per UMPI Transfer Database)
Remaining IT Core (9 SH):
- IT Project Management: Sophia Project Management (3 SH) → COS 3XX (per UMPI Transfer Database)
- Remaining: Web Development, Capstone (6 SH, at UMPI for residency)
Residency: 30 SH at UMPI (remaining IT Core + electives).

What about CUNY SPS Information Systems? They seem very certificate happy and with your certificates, you might have 80-90% of the degree done already. And since name recognition is a point of concern, CUNY being one of the oldest university in the country could help bolster legitimacy.

CUNY SPS IS?
I'll try to google it, do you have a brief description of what "SPS Information Systems" translates into as a degree (ASIT, BSIT, BSIS, BSCS?)?

- Total Credits: 86 (existing) + 13 (Sophia) + 30 (UMPI residency) = 129 SH (exceeds 120 SH, extra as electives).
- Residency: 30 SH at UMPI meets the requirement.
- UMPI Transfer Database: Sophia courses (e.g., English Composition II → ENG 121, Project Management → COS 3XX) confirmed via historical transfers [Web ID: 20].

Again this is the work of AI, use extreme caution
That's a lot of AI slop.

It is indeed, assumptive/contradictory "slop" (I feel this way too). But if I dig through it, toss the trimmings, I can remake a "fine meal", from this "slop" ...
Grok also refuses to calculate TEEX credits correctly (it sees only 5 + 4 + 4 = 13, not 25 as it should be), Harvard CS50x aswell (other small issues)

This is CUNY's website - https://sps.cuny.edu/academics/credit-prior-learning/credit-non-collegiate-learning and IS is their Information Science degree . As you can see, certificates apply pretty widely to their degree program, which is pretty unique in the world of online degrees.
I believe @LevelUP has a guide on it but don't have time to look through the wiki at the moment but I suspect with your # of certs you can complete this program as quickly as UMPI but with a more technical degree directly. WGU is also a good option but lots of test taking and potentially higher math requirement depending on which degree you choose.

And since name recognition is a point of concern, CUNY being one of the oldest university in the country could help bolster legitimacy.
Applicants must possess at least 24 transferrable credits from an accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Applicants need to demonstrate basic proficiency in reading, writing, and math.

Ya, CUNY has a lot of hoops you have to jump through.
