CSM Learn is a site that offers a single ACE-recommended course. At some schools, it can be used instead of algebra. At other schools, it comes in as an elective of some kind. At TESU or Excelsior, it can be used instead of algebra. It's more of a logic/reasoning course than pure math. I won't say that it's easy, if you have issues with math, but it can be much easier than actual algebra.
Is ALEKS still accepted at TESU as anything degree relevant, or has it not been renewed?

ALEKS has been marginally renewed (again) until August 31st of this year. I wonder what's up and why they haven't gotten any full renewals yet. I think this is the third or fourth time that they've received an extension instead of an actual renewal.

If you don't mind my asking, what is the difference between marginal renewal and other kinds of renewal? Is it just that it was extended for a short period of time?

A "real" renewal lasts for 3 or 4 years (I cannot remember which). The renewals that ALEKS has been getting since about this time last year have only been for 2-3 MONTHS at a time. It's possible that they're going to get dropped completely. Or it's possible that they'll be renewed normally and there are communication issues between ACE & ALEKS. We have no idea.

Ah, ok. Thanks.

My plan is to complete the 3 writing assignments this weekend. I need my Strayer transcript updated before the new term begins on 7/5/21.

I have a few questions for anyone who has completed the course. Please help with any information you can provide.

  1. Can you take the final before your writing assignments have been graded?
  2. How long does it take Straighterline to score your writing assignments?
  3. How many multiple choice questions are included in the final? (The final exam is half essay and half multiple choice.)
  4. The Straighterline site states the final exam for this course is closed book. Is that still true? I read comments on another blog that indicated you could use the ebook included with the course.
  5. How long does it take Straighterline to send your score for transcript updates?
I'm only 3 courses away from graduation, so I need to wrap this one up quickly.
You can take final before assignments.

60 multiple choice questions

After submitting objective final you have to do assignment.
