I will e-mail you the pdf files I have. I can't vouch for their usefulness, but I am betting that you would be able to extract some good study notes from them. I will keep my eye out for additional resources as well. There is a thread somewhere on here for Soviet Union where I posted a bunch of helpful online resources. Let me know if you can't find the thread. E-mail to follow shortly! Best of luck, Snazzlefrag DANTES going virtual... - Kiwi Lover - 06-12-2006 Thanks for your help Snazz. And yes, I did see that detailed post you made about the Soviet Union test (well done!) and the other posts that have made and I have already printed all of those out for when I do take the test (later this year). I guess I'd better get busy looking for other testing help with that geography test!! Thanks again. Have a good week! ![]() DANTES going virtual... - cbrchris - 06-12-2006 Just spoke to Janet from DSST who I was told was the Program admin for CBT testing from another CSR. Janet stated that there are currently 9 tests available for CBT testing and that all 37 should hopefully be available by the end of the summer. She also stated that the paper based test will not be going away and will always be available, and that it will be up to each test center to decide what version of test they will provide (paper, CBT, or both). Thanks for clarifying that for us. It's good to know. DANTES going virtual... - Kiwi Lover - 06-12-2006 [QUOTE=snazzlefrag]Kiwi, If you have a choice, there are several other exams that might be easier to find study material for (not to mention more helpful feedback from others). I would at least go with one of the DANTES that Instantcert covers. That way, you'll know you have access to some solid study material. Snazz, I looked into it further, and there ARE two other DANTES tests I could take for the "Global Issues" requirement of Regis University. They are "Western Civilization through 1648" or "Western Civilization 1648 - 1982". Have you taken either one of those or has anyone else who can recommend which one is better to take?? Thanks! DANTES going virtual... - snazzlefrag - 06-12-2006 Kiwi Lover Wrote:Snazz, I haven't taken either of those Kiwi. So I will defer to somebody who has. It sounds as if "Global Issues" is anything that involves issues in parts of the world other than the US. In which case, I wonder if any of the following would also meet the requirement: Intro to World Religions Modern Middle East Anthropology Environment & Humanity All the above have ample study resources in addition to Instantcert. Just throwing out ideas, Snazzlefrag DANTES going virtual... - Urbannaja - 06-12-2006 Snazz, It is of course, always a good thing to have more time possible, no matter how much it actually takes...but computer tests are mostly better I think. For one, no more filling in insane amounts of bubbles! Also, I've had issues before with the scantron machines not reading the pencil markings right before...definitely won't miss that. Also, with it going to computers, dantes might start grading instantly just like ECE does...which would be huge. DANTES going virtual... - anar579 - 07-17-2006 I just wanted to share that I took the computer version of this exam today. There was a 2 hour time limit, and I finished in under 40 minutes. The proctor was surprised I was done so quickly. I told her it was because I didn't have to fill out all those bubbles. This is great news for my carpal tunnel syndrome! Additionally, when I got to work, I had received an e-mail with my score report. I inquired about my next exam, Statistics. This one is not available online, at least not yet. How many questions were on the computer version of D&A Abuse? The written version I took had 106. Any difference?
