DAVAR June - Unlimited exams $99 - gator9595 - 06-28-2017 Hey Erie, Great question. I am thinking a light bulb for the Thomas Edison University Gang : ) On a different topic. How did all the classes transfer to TESU from Davar? Any surprises? You really raised the standard this month. Good job! DAVAR June - Unlimited exams $99 - Ideas - 06-28-2017 Yes, thanks Erie for the inspiration and tips! I can't wait until I get the transcript to TESU! Right now, I have zero credits filled. DAVAR June - Unlimited exams $99 - sarg123 - 06-28-2017 So... I just finished the American Government exam. Thank you all, I got great advice and it really helped me. If you still plan on taking this test... my advice: You really have to study the slides very carefully - almost all the multiple choice and even some of my essay questions were from there. Some of the questions were from the quizzes, but since the quizzes don't have answers I'm not sure how helpful it would be to look them over - maybe to prepare what you will say? It also helps to have a working knowledge of current events, as some of the questions were quite current. For this test I studied longer than usual. I bought the book, and I read it straight through, and then I also read through the slides and tried to study them. I also tried Crash Course a little on some of the stuff I wasn't sure about. So after all that preparation... I think I knew it pretty well. Only, I started the test in the afternoon and then I had to stop when my daughter came home from daycamp so I rushed some of the answers, and I don't know if I will get a great mark because of that. I think that I really knew this test well, and if I don't do well it was because of my rushing at the end.Even if I don't do so well, markwise, I have to say that I really did enjoy this course. The book was interesting, and I feel that I gained a lot, so there's always that

I just finished the American Government exam. ![]() I was disappointed I didn't get to use some of my knowledge on the essays. I felt I prepared more for this exam than some others, but it was that much harder. I feel they should change the questions to be more like their other exams. I am worried I won't get an exam done today. I am still going to try. DAVAR June - Unlimited exams $99 - scoriae - 06-28-2017 Ideas Wrote:This was a tough exam. I did much worse on Am Govt essays than any other essays. Even though I studied so much history and gov't recently, and have studied a lot of the material years ago. And I think I am good at essays and test taking. I scored worse on the essays than I thought I would. I feel my grader might have been a little tough on those. I know I didn't do great on them, but that bad? I did pass because of the mult-choice. Turns out that I got 68% on the exam, which stings in a different way. The strange part is that I received two result notification emails beforehand for 72% and 70%, though the 68% is the one that was ultimately registered. I expected to fail the exam, so in that way it is a look up. I took the biggest hit on the essay. Thank you for the kind words! DAVAR June - Unlimited exams $99 - Motivated2move - 06-28-2017 I have over 30 credits accumulated in June alone, thanks to Davar. This has been great. If you have questions about the business core, ask away! Last test for me... Principles of Sales. If you have attempted this one, would you be willing to shed some light on the exam? There are no practice questions. How does it transfer in to TESU for a BSBA? I hardly remember anymore, but I posted in this thread after I took it and after getting my score. My prior knowledge from other marketing areas helped. Personally I feel that any with a paper are less stressful, because you can fall below 70% on the exam and still pass. DAVAR June - Unlimited exams $99 - eriehiker - 06-28-2017 Principles of Sales was one of the early tests I took at Davar during a previous sale. It does actually transfer to TESU as MAR-310 Principles of Sales. I see it on my unofficial transcript. TESU has not updated my transcript from the Davar transcript I sent a week or so ago, but I sent this one earlier. I scored a 73 on this. I took it in March. There were a fair number of lists on this one that focused on how to make a sales presentation, closing techniques, etc. Some of these tests are intuitive and a good base of general knowledge can carry the day, but I remember this one not being that way. My experience was different, but I feel I got a lenient grader. Also, I like when the questions ask for something more factual that I learned (unlike American History mostly did). |
