Antioch University: Up to 45% of a graduate degree “may be… any combination of transfer credit and prior learning.” Nationally accredited institutions and foreign institutions with approved evaluations are admissible. Minimum “B” or equivalent for graduate transfer credit. Credits previously applied to a completed degree cannot be transferred to a degree at the same academic level.
One policy document addresses both graduate and undergraduate transfer credit, and that document is open toward ACE recommendations and CAEL portfolios. The relevant Chief Academic Officer could approve exceptions to transfer credit policies. The 45% could be exceeded if there is an articulation agreement between Antioch and the other institution.
Programs include highly learner-guided online MAs in Individualized Studies with focus in Humanities or focus in Social Sciences. Landing pages for those programs highlight ability to transfer up to 15 sh toward the 36 sh degrees.

I think that reflects a flexibility the program intends. I expect an MA Integrated Studies student could enroll in graduate courses from most any department in which Jacksonville State offers graduate credit, as long as it fits a coherent plan created by the student and their JSU advisor.

That's my guess but I want to make sure. I'm considering it for a second master's. I need to know what departments and what classes I can take for those 9 credits plus the capstone. A capstone in a mixed bag degree like this would be either very unique or really weird. Not sure how that will go especially with most courses transferred in. Could be an interesting ride!

This undated page from GetEducated, which might or might not be current, states "18 credits must be from two or more of the following fields of study: Anthropology, Art, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Criminal Justice, Drama, Economics, Emergency Management, English, Geography, History, Music, Physics, Political Science."
GetEducated's list is not restricted only to JSU College of Arts and Humanities departments. On the other hand, GetEducated's list notably doesn't include some of the departments in which JSU has online graduate courses e.g., business, education, public administration. On the third hand, GetEducated's post doesn't say courses from JSU departments like business are completely unavailable for the degree.

Pennsylvania Western University California: Max one third of a graduate degree can be transfer. But mentioning because their graduate transfer credit policy indicates potential openness to grades of CR, P, or S, and also to credit from a source that isn't an accredited college or university but is "verified as college/university level by an independent third party." ACE military is also mentioned specifically. Approval required for credit over 6 years old. Also mentioning because they have an online MS in Legal Studies and related grad certs. This could be a place to ask about bringing LawShelf grad credit.

- 2 (6 credits) from graduate studies that correlate with their classes can be transferred.
Fully possible to do their program with only 7 classes needed for the MA from UMPI

Their page for the MAOL says 6 credits, not 6 classes (18 credits). That means, even with the maximum transfer and three classes (9 credits) from a bachelor's degree at UMPI, you'd still have 7 classes left.

Yes it's 6 credits for transfer. The 3 classes are also specific classes from the BABA. The MAOL has 12 classes so cutting it down to 7 is pretty good.
Virginia Commonwealth University accepts up to 50% of grad credits as transfer credit. It's a public research university. Patch Adams is an alumnus.
