3 months per course is the deadline. essays are up to 3-5 pages for research papers etc. As stated every course has several modules so far up to like 12-22 each with a subject matter quiz after each module plus some modules have essays too. Usually a paper or final exam at the end.
I'd expand more but I'm really very ill and I just wanted to answer quickly.
