Hello, I'm a new member here and I just took my first clep a few days ago. I see a few DSST exams I have my eye and wanted to know if yall could offer anymore info on how DSST works. Is it just like clep exams, when your done you get your score or do you have to wait? Are they set up just like the clep exams format wise? Thanks!

Welcome to the boards. Yes DSST exams are just about the same as Clep exams. You will get your score right away as long as it is computer based. They have 4 answers instead of 5. Which tests are you looking at taking?

For older exams its usually around 46 or 48 (still out of 80) and for the refreshed exams its 400 out of 500.

I think I am going to take the DSST Principles of Supervision. BTW..How hard is it? After that I am going for CLEP Humanities. I saw alot of good info on that one on this forum. I know that one is hard but I'm gonna do it.

You can get a practice exam for Prin of Supervision right on the DSST website. Just take it and see how you do. I did not find it to hard.

OK... Can someone explain to me how to get to the practice exams? I keep getting the login screen that takes me to exams. I can't find the practice ones anywhere...

I actually like DSST better than CLEP - you can access your score reports online from anywhere. Also, my testing center offers both CLEP and DSST.
Sometimes there would be problems with the CLEP system locking, but not the timer locking at the same time (no, CLEP doesn't agree with me that anything like that could possibly happen). Never had that issue with DSST tests.
