Anyone taken this test recently? What are the areas to concentrate on? Best way to study for this exam. I'm using instantcert and the AP environment test review booklet. Will these be sufficient? I hope so....

That should work. I used InstantCert, the Princeton "Cracking the AP Environmental Science Exam 2010" book and the SparkCharts Environmental Studies notes and scored well.

Obviously you should consult the Specific Exam Feedback forum here. One recent user generously typed up pages of notes which I found very valuable.

Read the specific exam feedback and that was helpful. Did not realize before I posted that there was a whole thread on this exam. Where would I get a hold of the notes from the person you mentioned?? Thanks.

That thread is six pages long and my post from June 24 is the last one. The post just above mine has the notes as an attachment. The user was Snyderm I think.

I got the notes. Thanks so much-this is going to save me some research of terms and study time.

What is a passing grade on this exam? Is it 46 or 48 and is that the number of correct answers I need to pass?

Passing score - best to check with your school to see what they require. I believe the recommended score for credit is 46. My school required a 46.

I don't know how many correct answers are needed to pass. Raw scores are scaled as the maximum score is 80 yet there are over 100 questions. I recall that when I took the test I marked ~20 as questionable so I thought my odds for passing were pretty good.

Sorry, not much help.

Thanks for your response. On the exam specific thread on this test I copied the questions I had trouble with that came with the DSST factsheet I downloaded. Felt that there should have been an answer guide. If you could help me at all with these, it would be amazing!!!

bricabrac,
Yes, the fact sheet. Those questions drove me a bit crazy and I really wanted to know the answers.
I passed with a 64 a few days ago. But glad to know the answers are available on that fact sheet. Never scrolled down that far.
