Despite my large credit count both schools are requireing I complete quite a few hours Ex some 54 hours, COSC 46. I did'nt ask for assessment for LS from either school though and that might make a world of difference. I was still surprised at how they viewed my Gen Ed credits though. For example I completed Eng 1 and Creative Writing at Troy State Univ. yet both schools are stating my English is not met. Thats dissapointing ! I have a call in to the counselor that reviewed my transcripts but no response yet. Might be that Troy State was/is on the quarter hour system instead of semester hours ??? Neither school indicated if thay counted my credits as UL. I thought I had at least 2 300 level courses.....but they just don't say.

All electives are covered LOL. Still dissapointing news for me...

I'm so sorry to hear that Sad. Do you think that TESC would be more generous?

I know that it's never good news to hear that you still have a lot more to do, but English is a pretty easy one to get credits for. There are quite a few options and some of them you might not even have to study much for. For example, I didn't study much at all for either A&I literature or Technical Writing.

The other "look on the bright side" comment would be THANK GOODNESS you've discovered testing! Imagine if you were going back to a B&M school. This would mean a ton more time and money.

Hang in there and let us know how things work out and where you decide to enroll.

Which degree did you apply for at EC?

My evaluation for the school of Liberal Arts was done in a way that makes it look like I needed twice the number of credits. The top part (above the major) was what I would need to complete a BS in Liberal Studies without a major. Then the bottom part was what I would need if I chose to complete a major. So by completing what is needed for the major, I should also be able to cross off UL and LL credits needed in the top section.

Here is an example:

Could this be the same way with your eval?

The set up of the eval may vary by the school within EC.

Where were your 300 classes taken? If they were introductory or in a community college they won't count as upper division.
