Technical Writing/DSST Scoring - LearningLark - 01-10-2011 I took the Prometric practice test and it was extremely unhelpful. I can't find the answer key at all and have to guess the correct answers to the questions I got wrong! It does say that I scored 57.5% (for 40 questions). Does anyone have a clue what that means? Really bad, really good, mediocre?! Thank you! Technical Writing/DSST Scoring - NAP - 01-10-2011 There is a page with a list of answers/explanations for the questions that were wrong. If I remember correctly, it is not obvious, so keep clicking until you find it. Technical Writing/DSST Scoring - LearningLark - 01-10-2011 I found a page where it had what I guess are the answers I got wrong, but I can't find the correct answers, only the answers I gave! It seems to be a problem for others, too. http://www.degreeforum.net/general-education-testing-discussion/7448-major-problem-prometric-practice-tests.html Technical Writing/DSST Scoring - NAP - 01-10-2011 I agree that the answer page is not very user-friendly. I wish it was more like Peterson's with explanations for each of the possible right and wrong answers. I take notes while I work through the Prometric practice tests, so that I know which questions I got right. I also print the page about the wrong answers. I have been tempted to get them all wrong, so I can get more feedback. You are right the feedback you do get can be hard to decipher. All that being said, I still think it is worth having the option of a practice test from the maker of the real exam. Technical Writing/DSST Scoring - LearningLark - 01-10-2011 Thank you for your help, NAP! Do you have any idea how good or bad 57.5% is? Technical Writing/DSST Scoring - NAP - 01-10-2011 Since I haven't taken this exam, I don't know what a reasonable score on the practice exam is. Have you tried the free Peterson's ebook? I haven't read any feedback for it, so I don't know if testers like it. It should have teaching material and some practice tests. Follow these directions: Free Practice DSST Tests!
