Cancel? - Badomatic - 02-19-2011 This may sound dumb, but I am curious. Why would anyone ever cancel their score after they take the CLEP test? Cancel? - KyleH - 02-19-2011 Hehe, good question. If you cancel, it own't appear on your CLEP transcript but that does absolutely no good. Hopefully someone wiser will answer. Cancel? - STG - 02-19-2011 Some people think they failed...but I've always been told to never cancel because you never know. I thought I failed Sociology but I didn't care to see my score...I passed When I requested a transcript, it also showed my history CLEP that I failed...some people don't want it on there so they cancel it. But it's not very smart.
Cancel? - karepartners - 02-19-2011 Of course it is not advisable, but there is an option to cancel the scores in case u r 100% sure that U'r gonna fail the test. Because if u do fail u cant appear for that subject for another 6 mnths. But as everyone has said, u never knw whts gonna happen. So always click on report scores whatever yr assumptions may be. Cancel? - burbuja0512 - 02-19-2011 So if you cancel, you can take the test again before six months are up? That doesn't seem right... hypothetically, couldn't you then go, take the test just to see what's on it and then cancel so that you could go home and study? That would be a huge waste of time and money IMHO, but it seems that once you've seen the test, they would want you to wait 6 months regardless... Cancel? - MA2 - 02-20-2011 Negative. If you cancel you still can't take the test before the 6 months are up. This is so someone doesn't take the test, cancel it, then retake a few days later after knowing what's on it. Some people cancel because they panic and think they failed... even though I don't know of any schools that put an "F" on your transcript for failing a CLEP. Each CLEP exam has a question bank of (hmm, I believe...) over a thousand questions. It would be highly unlikely that you would see very many, if any, of the same questions the next time, or even the fifth time you took it. With ECE, there are (hmm, I believe...) two versions of each test, and if you took it the second time, it would be the version that you did not take previously. Besides, CLEP and ECE already tell you exactly what you need to study to pass, so why not just study and pay for your test once? If someone has the ability to memorize every question, then memorize every answer to every question, they surely could have just followed the exam content outlines and learned what was needed to pass the first time. Yes, but you're assuming people who cheat are that intelligent. I've dealt with a lot of scum, and while there are a few intelligent crooks, most would spend 20 hours preparing to cheat on a test, when they could have studied for 10 and passed.
