Hello,
I have taken the following ALEKS courses:
Beginning Algebra
Intermediate Algebra
College Algebra.
I was wondering, for either Excelsior College or TESC, Is it possible to have all 9 credits accepted into the degree program?
I.E. College Algebra for math requirement, and the other two for math/science or general electives?

I know you will get 2 for it. I don't know about beginning algebra.
You can get 6 credits from stats and business stats as a business major at TESC. Business stats is a business elective, upper level OPM-351.

That is Good to know! I completed Business Stats at a B&M school this last term with an A- so that would be very attainable.
Does anyone know if TESC will give 9 credits for the algebra courses?

They used to give credit for all three, but from recent feedback it seems that has changed and beginning algebra is now transcribed as developmental. Since you've already completed it, I would just get in on the ace transcript and see what happens. It will not cost you any extra money and worst case it ends up sittling in the other section.
Good news you will definitely receive credit for intermediate and college algebra, precalculus and intro stats. Not bad for $20 if you can get them all completed within the month.

i have Business stats completed, if I took the other two stats, could I use them both as free electives?
I am Canadian, so FEMA courses are not an option so I need quick free electives.

Intro and behavioral stats duplicate (both transcribe as STA201).
As a BSBA major statistics is required so intro to stats will fill that requirement. Like Ryoder said you could then use your business stats as UL credit and I've seen it applied to the business elective section, area of study, or it can even be used in the natural sciences depending on the degree program and what you already have. For free electives can you take CLEP and DSST exam? For the BSBA you only need 6cr in free electives.

Thanks, I think what I will do now is take Pre-Cal and Intro to stats and I will have College Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, Business Stats, Intro to Stats and Pre-Cal as aprt of my Accounting degree plan.
Does anyone know if TESC offers any equivalent courses in E-Business/E-Management?
I took a course at a Canadian school called Introduction to E-Management and hope to use it as free business electives.
Will TESC accept Canadian Political Science and Criminology Courses for credit under general elective or social science?

I have taken the advice from this thread, and have created an unofficial BSBA in Accounting degree plan for TESC.
I have used one of the old templates from this site, and have attached it as a spreadsheet.
The only thing I am not 100% sure is if TESC awards credit for Canadian sociology, criminology, and political science credits.
I am also not sure if the Intro to E-Management class has a TESC equivalent; I am hoping to use it as a business or free elective.
Please review my plan and tell me if there is anything incorrect or that stands out.
A few notes:
I have transfer credit from the following schools:
Northeast Community College (Nebraska)
ALEKS
Vancouver Island University (Canada)
Thompson Rivers University (Canada)
Camosun College (Canada)
LSU
If I am correct in my estimates, I have completed 57 credits so am halfway there. I hope to finish the remainder ASAP so please provide suggestions on how I can do so.
