TESC Graduating With No GPA? - Paul - 04-27-2011 My son has four items left to complete his BSBA in General Management from TESC: Business Policy Operations Management Marketing Strategies Business Communications. If he takes the following from CSU-Pueblo Independent Studies- MGMT 485 Management Strategy & Policy MGMT 311 Operations Management (Possibly) MKTG411 Marketing Strategies And Business Communications through Streighterline, this means he will have NO GPA. My question is - will TESC allow him to graduate with no GPA? Also, does anyone see any problem with using these Independent study courses from CSU rather than TECEPS? Thanks! TESC Graduating With No GPA? - Levi - 04-27-2011 As far as I know, there should be no problem at TESC with him not having a GPA. However, if he does have a GPA, then it must be at least 2.0. TESC Graduating With No GPA? - Paul - 04-28-2011 Thanks Levi!!! TESC Graduating With No GPA? - BrandeX - 04-28-2011 You should also consider if you WANT him to graduate with no gpa. TESC Graduating With No GPA? - Paul - 04-28-2011 ........because of the Grad School problem?? TESC Graduating With No GPA? - Mian - 04-28-2011 There's a grad school problem with having a GPA? TESC Graduating With No GPA? - BrandeX - 04-29-2011 No, "without" having one. TESC Graduating With No GPA? - FinancialWorld - 04-29-2011 Yes you can graduate without a GPA at TESC, but as BrandeX said, you will probably want one if you're planning on going to grad school. I'm taking one course through TESC so that I have a GPA. TESC Graduating With No GPA? - Paul - 04-29-2011 Maybe someone can set me straight on this "taking one course in case one wants to go to grad school" deal. It is my understanding that almost any grad school is going to carefully review all of your transcripts and quite a bit of other information such as recommendations before granting acceptance. So does taking one course from TESC actually help one get in to grad school or is this a misconception? Wouldn't they review all transcripts, see 99.9% of the course work was completed by other means & make their judgement from that information? Can someone help me out here. Thanks!
TESC Graduating With No GPA? - dcan - 04-29-2011 I would also very much like to know the answer to this question. I know several people on here have gone on to grad school after a bachelor's degree from one of the Big 3, but I don't know the details of how you apply, what the selection criteria are, or how a transcript of mostly test and transfer credits would look to a grad school. By "grad school" I don't mean Harvard or Yale, I mean a basic MBA w/ IT concentration, or an MS in Public Policy w/ IT concentration, etc. I know TESC offers these as well, but I'm curious about the impact of TESC on a grad school application. Thanks. |
