I'd appreciate any and all input and suggestions ![]() Thanks!!! Rachel Finishing up TESC BSBA in Accounting - Yenisei - 06-17-2011 ACC 202 is Managerial Accounting, right? Take it with Straighterline, and you can also take what is called Cost Accounting at TESC with them as well. There aren't any other test out options other than the CLEP/DSST Financial Accounting and the Income Tax TECEP. Look at Adams State College or LSU as well as TESC for any UL accounting electives you may need. Finishing up TESC BSBA in Accounting - bricabrac - 06-17-2011 Hi Rachel, Business Elective: Intro to Business DSST or Principles of Supervision DSST Additional accounting course options â Penn Foster: ACC202 Intermediate Accounting 2 (TESC ACC202) ACC210 Cost Accounting (TESC ACC303) ACC211 Computer Applications in Accounting (TESC UL ACC?) Tuition $280 per course (includes textbook) Independent students sign up for these courses by contacting the Industrial/Business # 1-800-233-0259 http://www.workforcedevelopment.com/index.html http://www.pennfostercollege.edu/college-catalog.html I like PF courses because they are very fast to complete. Open book and the quizzes/final are not timed. It is completely at your own pace = no stress. Here are a few of the popular Penn Foster individual courses you can sign up for yourself on the website: http://www.pennfostercollege.edu/cat-courses.html - Financial Management transfers to TESC as FIN301 Principles of Finance Straighterline does not offer Intermediate Accounting. I second Yeniseiâs suggestion; they do have ACC150 Managerial Accounting which transfers to TESC as ACC303 Cost Accounting. Itâs cheaper than Penn Foster. If you complete the course within one month it is $99 monthly fee +39 course. Here's a promo for $15 off course - code number LS15SP Online College Courses - Distance Learning Courses - StraighterLine http://www.straighterline.com/partner-colleges/transfer-college-credits-to-thomas-edison-state-college.cfm Good Luck!! Finishing up TESC BSBA in Accounting - ryoder - 06-17-2011 Penn Foster has some accounting courses that are ACE approved Finishing up TESC BSBA in Accounting - Yenisei - 06-17-2011 If you plan on eventually becoming a CPA, I'd try to take all of your accounting courses from a regionally accredited school. A few states, e.g., Texas, won't accept online accounting courses, but I think you'd have even more trouble with ACE-approved courses or testing out credits. Check your state's requirements, though. Finishing up TESC BSBA in Accounting - Ubuntu_user - 06-17-2011 Why don't you take the English Comp II as a CLEP (sure it would double your English Comp I credits, but it'd save you $100s)? Finishing up TESC BSBA in Accounting - lil10isgirl - 06-17-2011 Thanks for all the input! I'm taking the English Comp II as a TECEP because I am currently on the Comprehensive plan and had 3 credits left to take! My annual enrollment will end next month, so unfortunately I'll have to re-enroll just for the last class or 2 and to graduate ![]() |
