ALEKS Score Question - KyleHausam - 07-07-2011 I know that ACE requires you to have 70% as a passing grade. My question is once you get 70% of the pie complete can you submit for credit? I did the free trial on PreCalc and am at 68% after the assesment. If I decide to do Aleks I just need to know if I can submit once I hit 70% for credit. Thanks ALEKS Score Question - CLEP101 - 07-07-2011 KyleHausam Wrote:I know that ACE requires you to have 70% as a passing grade. You have to get 70% or better on the assessment. Working on problems after the fact is helpful so far as learning the suject is concerned but it does not influence the passing score. Do a search, there are quite a few aleks threads on the forum that have all the ins and outs to the program. Faster way is to use your master account to request an assessment when you want it. Don't do this repeatedly, it won't really help (and assessments CAN lower your completion %). Take assessment, work on pie (hit explain, hit print, hit practice, repeat until you have an example for everything, then complete actual practice ones), request assessment (after doing a good amount of the pie), repeat until assessment (blue bar) says over 70% (not 50% + 20%, 70% + anything). Then you can request, through the ACE site, for credit. Once verified (should take a couple days, contact ALEKS if it takes more than a week) you can start a new ALEKS. DO NOT START A NEW ALEKS UNTIL IT IS ON YOUR ACE APPROVED LIST!!!! When you start a new ALEKS they delete all previous records, so if it wasn't on the ACE transcript yet you will have to redo it. ALEKS Score Question - ffdpsoldier - 07-07-2011 I hope in not being the slow person here lol, but under my Master account. i went to student progress report , (Assessment performance Course Mastery) says 75+1%........ does that mean i am good to go for the credit......it took me 3 hours for the test i took my time because i did the trial 3hrs right before to figure out the program.....anyways .... if i am able to get ace credit now How do i enroll into a different class?????? ALEKS Score Question - KyleHausam - 07-07-2011 Thanks very much for answering my questions and providing an answer for others. I do have another. Why is 65%+6% not good? After i did the Assessment on PreCalc I had 65%, Now I have 65%+6%=71% thats the 70% you need for credit right? After you complete the assessment thats the first number. Then after you start completing the pie the second number is the one that changes right? valsacar Wrote:When you complete all of the pie (that it currently lets you) it will automatically do an assessment. ALEKS Score Question - jackbanta - 07-07-2011 65+whatever is not good enough. You need to have the 65 be a 70 and the only way to do that is to take another assessment. Think of the +x as ALEKS prediction of what you'd do if you assessed again. It's just a prediction, not your actual score. To request another assessment, log into your master account, click on the "View Progress Report" under the overall heading "Student Account". Then click on Request New Assessment. Request it and then log into your student account and the assessment will begin immediately. It will be just like your initial assessment, 20-25 questions. Now you have to go to the ACE Transcript site and look up the ALEKS course you just took. DO NOT change your course at ALEKS until ACE says you've been approved for credit or else you will lose all your progress. ALEKS Score Question - alleycat - 07-07-2011 Thank heavens for Aleks!!!!!!
