I am only posting the concentration portion of this plan since that is what is really relevant.
You need 12CR in one subject and that was BIO for me.
I took Calc III and Diff Eq in college at USF. Computer architecture and Global Environmental Change are TESC courses. The rest are CLEP/DSST and Straighterline.com for A&P.

Ryoder,
My DH and I were just talking about a natural science/math bachelor's tonight so it's funny that you posted this right after our conversation. He's slowly working towards his psych major but was saying that a science major might be better.
The only concern we had about this degree was that there would be too much math, but it doesn't look like you have a lot there. Does it matter how you mix up the math and science?

You could conceivably do this Area of Study without any math at all, but I'd really be ashamed to do that. Here's a potential path without any math:
100 level
Astronomy DSST 3 credits
Physical Geology DSST 3 credits
OR
Chemistry CLEP 6 credits
200 level
Anatomy & Physiology ECE 6 credits
Environment & Humanity DSST 3 credits
300 level
MIS DSST 3 credits
Pathophysiology ECE 3 credits
Environmental Science TESC course 6 credits
Bioethics Ohio U exam 3.33 credits
Biology and Future of Man Ohio U exam 3.33 credits OR
Network Technology TECEP 3 credits

Yenisei - that is an interesting plan... though I have to agree that I would be a little bit embarrassed to have a math and science degree with no math lol.

burbuja, maybe Straighterline Calculus I and II could be added at the 200 level to add some math, or perhaps DSST Statistics and UExcel Calculus. There are also the Ohio U Calculus exams, but they are much tougher than the other exams I mentioned.

Good point.. it's just a very interesting degree because you could either be almost totally science-focused with little to no math, yet still have a mathematics degree to list on your resume. Obviously, you would probably mention that you focused more on the science part of the degree, but it's interesting nonetheless.

Calc three was hard but differential equations was my next course and try as I might I Renee out a c in hat class. That was in 1996 though and I was about twenty years old so take it with a grain of salt. Back then the internet wasn't what it is today so I had no help in that class.

burb- it also depends on what the student's ultimate goal is- if they are just looking to check a box or want to be a journalist or technical translator they may not strictly need any math in the Area of Study, but in my case I want to study applied math at the grad level so that obviously means I need math as well as science. I am also a translator on the side and hopefully this degree will help me get some translation work in chemistry
