Did anyone feel an earthquake about half an hour ago?
I live in NY and I didn't feel it but a few blocks down from me they did.

We live in Maryland and it frightened the kids. Things were falling off all the shelves and crashing to the ground. Some things are broken. Even my king size bed moved away from the wall.
My daughter called me from Staples to say she was ok. Things were falling there, too. Thankfully, she was not at the Safeway in Annapolis because the roof partially caved in.

I felt my chair move under me and saw some stuff on my shelves moving. Until I saw things moving on the shelf I thought I was having some type of muscle spasm.

I live in NC, and I didn't feel anything. Just found out about it a few hours ago. I just read an article saying that is was felt from Toronto to North Carolina.

I live in NC, near the VA border and we sure felt it. I was in the middle of teaching my class and had the powerpoint up when it starting bouncing up and down on the screen then the whole room starting shaking. One of my students yelled, my boobs are shaking and another one said look at how the Ms. Marianne is bouncing, pointing at me. I'm sure it was sight! My kids daughter was home alone 36 miles away and she said some things fell off the shelves. We just had an aftershock about 20 minutes ago, but it wasn't as strong and didn't last as long. What a unique week, Tuesday an earthquake, then we are supposed to have hurricane Irene hit on Saturday!

I still don't remember feeling anything. My brothers said that some guys around the Charlotte area (NC) felt it.
Yup, the hurricane is headed right towards Charlotte, and basically the whole Carolina's. Well there's still time for it to miss us,
