I sent an email to someone at 5 and I got a response a bit later saying that the time the person answered my email was 2:30, which is impossible. Is there a way to change the time on gmail? The time on my computer is right.

Wow. There is nothing to change it is the correct time for both of you as noted on your email accounts.
You are on the East Coast now 9:26PM, whoever you are corresponding with is probably on the West Coast now 6:26PM.

they're not it happened with all the emails I got today. The time on my computer is correct but all the emails I get say I got it 3 hours ago and I'm signed in all day. My friends answered a half hour after I sent it but it says I got it 3 hours ago but 3 hours didn't even pass from the time I sent it.

go into account settings
under my products calendar settings
your current time zone - change to eastern time
My account is set at pacific time and i dont have problems with my email but who knows. Hopefully one of the computer specialists on DF will respond.

It was on pacific so I changed it to eastern but when I sent myself an email, it says I got it 7:20 and now it's 10:20.

Didn't hurt to try. As I said, my account is set to pacific time (live on EC) and don't have a problem with my email. It must be something else. Do a search to find a fix or hopefully someone here will have an answer.

I checked online. It's telling me how to fix the time on my computer but the time on my computer is good...I don't know why the time on my gmail is wrong. Is it just my account?
