Question about COMPTIA A+ NETWORK+ - ronaldemail1 - 09-21-2011

Has anybody taken any of these recently, I am trying to take
them by Monday next week.

How do you submit the results to Tesc, Notarized copies
to the Tesc address or have they already improved this
and you just need to provide the code or the name of
the college like clep or dsst ?

Thank you in advance for your replies.

I haven't submitted my results to anyone yet, but after you pass, there is a URL/code you can give to people where they can confirm your credential directly on the CompTIA website.

When I was trying to get my A+ and Net+ accepted, I spoke to multiple people at TESC and it was demanded that CompTIA send a hard copy transcript to them. CompTIA doesn't do this and they were told as much, so the best they could offer was for me to send them the link and notarized copies of my certificates, and even then they couldn't guarantee they would be accepted. Effing morons. On the flip side, Excelsior will take the web link without issue. I love public schools but sometimes you really have to respect the efficiencies of private ones.

Question about COMPTIA A+ NETWORK+ - ryoder - 09-27-2011

I sent them my Network+ as a notarized copy and they were fine with it. They gave me 2CR business elective for it. I did not receive CIS elective credit for it even though I tried to argue the case. I think it was CAP-181 or something like that.

Not sure if anyone answered you, but I am wondering this as well. I've had Comptia A+ and Network+ for a while.

Thanks

You will get 2Cr each for these in CAP prefixed courses which are general electives or business electives but not CIS electives.

Question about COMPTIA A+ NETWORK+ - beargins - 01-19-2012

I was told by TESC over the phone that you get 4cr for the A+. I'm going to email them to see what they say because I doub't its 4cr. BTW does it matter who notarizes the A+?

Question about COMPTIA A+ NETWORK+ - ryoder - 01-19-2012

I went to Amscot and it was fine. Its only 2 CR for Network+ guaranteed but I do not know about A+.

Question about COMPTIA A+ NETWORK+ - nleamons - 02-21-2012

As far as I can tell both A+ and Network+ will transfer as 2 CR even though other colleges and universities give 3 CR for these certifications.

For some reason TESC did not accept my A+ certification.
