Hi,
So I was scheduled to take the Information Systems and Computer Applications CLEP on Nov 12th, but the college had a problem with the computers, and both DSST and CLEP would not recognize their systems.
So we all sat there for about an hour while the poor procter wrestled with it, but finally sent us home and cancelled the tests.
They were meant to be rescheduled for Nov 19th, but apparently they haven't fixed the problem yet, so they cancelled it again.
So, would you wait until is is fixed and then take it, or would you find somewhere else to take it?
It's messing up my schedule, I wanted to do Am. Govt. in December, not still be studying for Nov's test.
What d'yall think?

I had a similar situation happen when I was testing. If you have another test center near by, you may try calling them to see if their system is working and if you can reschedule with them. I wouldn't wait if I had a schedule all set-up, but that is me. I wouldn't want to try to study for several different exams at once, that would be too confusing on my old brain! If they couldn't get logged in to the DSST or CLEP system it sounds like the problem in their end, not DSST & CLEP, so you should be cleared to take the exams anywhere.

First of all I would like to say I totally feel for you! Its so frustrating sitting for forever after driving to the test center and then being sent away. The same thing happened to me as well, very frustrating. I decided to reschedule with another school after calling the same one a few times and being told they still could not administer the tests. Personally I would definitely try another test center, since there is no knowing when you will be able to reschedule with that school. I tried to take my test in September and they still are not administering the tests at that school. Hope your able to resolve this and happy testing!

Take it at another center. When I took the English Comp exam with essay the instructions came up correctly, but when the test started the text was upside down. I took the test upside down and wrote my essay but failed by one point. I asked CLEP to let me retake the test at their expense even with support from the testing center and they told me no. This happened after the college was having trouble getting the exams from CLEP. Don't delay, take the exam at another site. If you have problems while taking the exam like I did cancel the test and make the testing center reimburse you for the test. I ended up taking courses needlessly due to their error.
