I read through the book and used the CD-ROM to take the first practice test. It scored it as a 60, is that an accurate representation of the score I would need to pass this test?

I would say schedule your test. I used the REA study guides for multiple test. If you are scoring a 50 on the practice exams you are more than ready to take the actual exam. Most institutions accept a score of 50 as passing on the cleps. Good Luck!

And, of course, be sure to read all the answers to the tests after you take them! What I have found works for me is to take the practice test, read the answers and then *retake* the test, checking as I go along to see whether I got each question right and reviewing any that I'm fuzzy on. This has been a big help to reinforce the right answers.

I have taken the practice tests in the REA study guide several times, and consistently score 70-80. I have taken 2 Peterson's practice tests, and after figuring my score for them myself, I scored in the neighborhood of 56. I am scheduled to take this test on Wednesday, and am scared to death that I will fail it. How closely do the REA tests compare to the real deal?

I'm not super-experienced at this, but I have found that I generally score higher on an REA test than the actual CLEP. However, if you've read the REA book and done all tests (and read the answers) and are consistenly doing IC, I think you should be able to pass.
