Tesc psych degree requirement question - nerako - 12-27-2011 question: is 'intro to computers' considered a 'natural science? I am getting a Psych degree from TESC and am totally confused by the Natural Science/Math requirement (12 cr). The way it is written in the BA IN PSYCHOLOGY CREDIT DISTRIBUTION on TESC's website, it clearly asks for: a college level math course (3), recommends a computer sci course (3), and requires (6 cr) in Natural Sci/Math. Here is where I get confused: it APPEARS as though they ask that the courses be in 2 diff subject areas when it comes to the last area, 'other natural sci/math' (6cr). HOWEVER, when I look at my EVALUATION, the requirements are layed out quite differently. On my eval, it shows the following: C) D: Mathematics > Complete a 3 semester hour college-level Mathematics > course. MAT-104 Math Concepts.............. 3 *TE I) E: Natural Sciences > Complete 9 semester hours in the Natural Sciences, > including at least two subject areas. Credits: 8 Required: 9 Remaining: 1 BIO-212 Human Anatomy & Physiology 4 *TE BIO-211 Human Anatomy & Physiology 4 *TE __________________________________________________ ___ 1 credit It says nothing about the computer science recommendation. Am I to assume that it would satisfy the 'E' portion of the Natural Sciences? If so, I have recently taken an Intro to Computers class at a CC that hasnt been added to my eval yet. Would I insert it here in 'E' AND being it was a 3 credit class, how would they apply those credits? in other words, would it count toward the 1 cr needed and the 2 credit overflow be added somewhere else? where? OR would it just stand as 3 credits, making it 11 credits total. Hope Im making sense |
