TESC 12-Hour Subject Requirement and Course Prefix Question - sandraeli - 03-10-2012

Out of curiosity, does anyone know whether Statistics courses count as Math for the 12-hour single subject requirement in the Natural Sciences/Mathematics Area of Study? Or what about mixing CIS and COS prefixes to satisfy this requirement?

It's noted as STA-201 on the site, but if anyone knew the answer, it would have been you, Cook! Maybe I'll be the guinea pig on this one and see what they say.

STA-201 is listed under it's own subhead, Statistics, in the Natural Science/Mathematics Subject Areas of the General Education Electives list.

So yes, it looks like it should be OK. Same with your COS question. As long as a course maps to one of these I would think you would be OK.
