Hello everyone , I've read through the ' easiest exam thread ,score of 60 or better using only instantcert '. ( Just for the record that thread was enlightening for me
I realized that it was possible to pass several ( if not all ) of the clep / dsst exams using only instantcert. Since I stumbled upon that new information I have passed three clep exams ( humanities , western civ 1 , western civ 2 ) and 5 dsst exams ( world religion , personal finance , here's to your health , substance abuse, general anthropology ) using only instant cert. Using only instantcert to study has saved me an incredible amount of time when preparing for these exams when compared to my old way of studying for clep/dsst exams ( consolidation is beautiful lol ) Okay all of that to ask this lol ........ Has anyone ever passed any Clep / Dsst exams using only snazzlefrag's notes ? I mean literally only studying snazzlefrag's notes . Nothing else .. not even instantcert to supplement.
I think I'm going to try this out for the Civil War dsst exam. The IC flashcard's for this exam are really long ... and I don't like that lol .... And snazzlefrag's notes are very crisp and intelligently put together , and he seems to do an amazing job summarizing all of the key information into short phrases which would be a lot easier to study and memorize than ic.
Again Im just wondering if anyone else has tried this extremely consolidated method of studying ? -- ( Snazzlefrag only ! )
hmm possible t-shirt slogan if I pass this exam lol--- If this topic of studying using only sf's notes has already been discussed I apologize. I did several searches on the forum and never saw anything that specifically answers my question. So I hope this isn't redundant.

Snazzlefrag doesn't get around these parts like he used to "back in the day" but the notes are great.

I recently called thomas edison state with an academic question , and I ended up finding out that even though ACE recommends Civil War and Reconstruction as an upper level credit test - thomas edison state doesn't accept it as such. So Im actually not going to take this test now because I need some upper level credits
......Two 10 hour days of studying for nothing grrrrr.

Yeah, unfortunately the DSST Civil War exam transfers as HIS-252 at TESC. What degree are you going for? If it's history, I'd recommend these as upper level:
DSST Intro to Modern Middle East (HIS-309)
DSST A History of the Vietnam War (HIS-351)
DSST Rise & Fall of the Soviet Union (HIS-386)
The other thing you can do is take the course The Middle East (HIS-310) at TESC. If you do well on the DSST exam, this course is easy and you'll get a GPA at TESC for having taken it. Just about the same material that's on the DSST exam is covered in the course as well. If you're going for a Liberal Arts degree or something other kind of BA, there are more options out there for testing out.

... I am working towards testing out ( only CLEP/DSST ) with a B.A in Liberal Studies at TESC. An academic advisor at tesc directed me to the page on their website which list(s) all of the dsst / clep courses and what academic level they correspond to when transferring. Again I really appreciate the response / recommendations you gave because whether or not I'm going to have a GPA is something that I've been thinking about. I have an AA from a small state college in FL , and Im not sure whether or not the gpa from my AA would apply to my BA through TESC ? I only need two more upper level courses for my degree , but I'm starting to consider the option of taking one of them at tesc solely to make sure that I have a GPA for my BA.LaterBloomer Wrote:No, no, no, no, NO.
