Ways to fullfill Organizational Behavior requirement for Business Degrees - Max Droid - 05-08-2012 I am currently looking for a way to fullfill the "Organizational Behavior" course requirement this summer. I am aware of the DSST, and Penn Foster options but am looking for other options as well. Coastline Community College has a "Bus Organization and Mgmt"... Course Description: Business Organization and Management is a course designed to provide a comprehensive review of the role of management in the current business environment. Students will be introduced to the terminology, theories, and principles that make up the core of business management. The 21st Century workplace is undergoing dramatic changes. Organizations are reinventing themselves for speed, efficiency, and flexibility and creating a strategic advantage with customer-focused leadership. Teams are becoming the basic organizational building block with the increased emphasis on employee participation, and empowerment. Does this coarse's description fit the bill? What other options are out there? I am likely to finish my degree with Excelsior (General Business) if that helps. Thanks in advance! Business Organization and Management, at my comm college, transfers in as BUS101; entry level business course. I think the DSST exam is the best option for organizational behavior. If you take after principles of management and/or human resources management there is much crossover. BTW, Excelsior also has an UL org behavior exam. Ways to fullfill Organizational Behavior requirement for Business Degrees - rebel100 - 05-08-2012 It was a 300 level course I believe. Taught through the Con-Ed dept...open enrollment. I would give you a link but it appears that the entire University website is down for maintenance. I reviewed the course here http://www.degreeforum.net/general-education-testing-discussion/13736-colorado-state-university-independent-study-review.html Ways to fullfill Organizational Behavior requirement for Business Degrees - durandtheman - 05-09-2012 Why not take the Excelsior exam and get upper level credit? If you need an LL course then by all means take the DSST. Check out the ECEs for UL Business credits, they have 3 that are business related, 2hr, $99 and can be taken at most Pearson Testing centers Ways to fullfill Organizational Behavior requirement for Business Degrees - Yenisei - 05-09-2012 Org Behavior should be tested out of rather than taken as a class- it's less expensive and less time-consuming. EDIT: if you are trying to get credit for Org Behavior either now or in the future at a school other than TESC, COSC or Excelsior, make sure that whichever option you choose will be accepted by that school- do not simply assume that any exam or course will. Ways to fullfill Organizational Behavior requirement for Business Degrees - livinginlilliput - 05-30-2012 I took the DSST test on this today and it was really doable. It was much easier than Principles of Management and Principles of Supervision, and a tiny bit harder than Human Relations Management. It is REALLY worth just trying to test out of it. I couldn't agree more, study up for a little bit and give it a shot. To also respond to an earlier comment recommending taking the ECE exam instead, depending on where people go to school they may take the DSST as upper level (TESC takes it as PSY-361). For how cheap a DSST exam is comparably I'd recommend it (although I've never taken an ECE). Ways to fullfill Organizational Behavior requirement for Business Degrees - frankiebleyes - 06-03-2012 Straigherline is testing for ACE credit for Organizational Behavior and I expect it will be available within the next few months. |
