Instantcert customer service subpar/nonexistent and turns back on customers heartless - Travis1475 - 05-10-2012 Instantcert has refused to return my e-mails even though I have told them I am unsatisfied with their service and would like a refund. They cited that I agreed to the rules, which are almost 3,000 words long, and that they would return my most recent charge which was a few days ago. When I responded that returning my most recent charge was not enough Instantcert quit replying to me. They have no phone number to call and cancel. The number which is listed just tells me to use their contact link. I have used it every day for the last three days without luck. Their refund policy, found in terms and conditions (see HTML below) five paragraphs down, states that "refunds will be dealt with on a case by case basis" yet how can they do so when they turn their back on their customers? Please find a better company to deal with in case this same incident happens to you. Iâm just about to be disabled combat veteran, separating in September, finishing up college and donât have time to deal with this greedy company. My guess is that you just weren't that unsatisfied... but there are other options: 1) You thought and believed that IC was or could do at the very least an adequate job in preparing you for whatever exam(s) you were planning on taking. In which case you are at fault because if you hadn't thought that then you would of immediately canceled your subscription as anyone could see it wasn't working. Why continue paying for something if you weren't satisfied? 2)It really was working for you but you want to slip the system and get all your money back. 3)You forgot. They didn't have to give you back anything because you did agree to their terms of service, were given a risk free time period, a 30 day money back guarantee, and in your own words the return of the most recent charge. IC is under no obligation (especially legally) to return your most recent payment to you! They could of simply let the rest of your month expire as is customary. If anything this shows how well IC will treat their members! And of course they wouldn't keep responding to your emails... The matter was settled and you came out of it with arrangements that were more then fair, but you still weren't satisfied. I appreciate the service you have, are, and will be providing to our country. However I'm not pleased that you're attempting to do this to an organization that has nothing but it's members best interest at heart. If IC was that "greedy" they wouldn't of given you back your last payment. By your own account it seems the "greedy" party is the one complaining. To equate IC's customer services as "nonexistent", "turns back on customers", and as "heartless" couldn't be further from the truth! AND by YOUR own account too!! If they were nonexistent, heartless, or if they turned on you, they wouldn't of offered your last subscription back, furthermore if they are as you say they are you would of half expected that this thread would of been deleted within hours? No, this will not be deleted, because there is no reason to... the members of IC will stand up. Since we know that you did indeed communicate with IC, and they with you, for however long a period it was, we know that they are nonexistent. And if they were that heartless, greedy, and turn on customers like this why did you bother posting this here? Any heartless and especially a greedy company would have this kind of thread torn down immediately... would they not? I apologize if I sound a bit harsh, that is not my intention. I agree with you that folks should read the terms and conditions... that is after all, what they're there for. People are given trial periods, etc. but from the account that you gave it did not appear that IC was in any means in the wrong. EDIT: One thing I just noticed that I'm sure some clarification would be appreciated on is that it states that you, "Travis1475" just joined in May. If your story is true, this account couldn't be from your original IC subscription. Reason is this: You state they would only give you back your most recent charge, and not ALL of your charges, implying that there were at the very least 2 MONTHLY subscriptions. While your Profile page shows that you joined yesterday. Would you mind clarifying this detail as well? I have been a forum member all of that time, but I have been a paying member on and off. I have NEVER had any problem starting a new enrollment or canceling an enrolled period. I have been given my last payment back when I missed cancelation by a couple of days and I have always had ALL of my concerns responded to. I don't know what problems you think you have had but if you were enrolled for more then one month you shortchanged yourself by not fully using all that IC has to offer. This forum and the assistance we give to both newcomers and oldsters like myself are an important part of the whole package. The specific exam feedback has never failed to help me with my studies. Since I have been known to come to the defense of IC whenever someone feels an attack is warranted let me clarify. I am not now and have never been employed by IC, I have never earned a cent from IC. What I have received from IC is a priceless amount of knowledge and encouragement. Before I joined IC I knocked myself out spending too much time and money studying for 2 exams. Once I found IC my study time was cut immensely and I learned many ways to accelerate my plans for a degree. I also appreciate your service to our country and I hope you will find something that works for you in pursuing your degree. Keep an open mind and take responsibility for what you do. I have joined instantcert when I needed it and quit and never had a problem with them stopping my membership when I cancelled. I rejoined when I needed to test again and the quit when I didn't. I have been a member since 2008 and just cancelled my membership a year ago. If you weren't getting satisfaction out of their product, why didn't you just cancel after the first month or two? I never had a problem getting them to respond to me and have in fact always found them fair with my account. As to your service sir or madam, thank you for serving our country as have many of us on this board, including myself. I too am disabled but not from my service in Viet Nam over decades ago. It is tough to live on disability pay, but this company has always been fair with me and I can't just sit back and not say that I find your comments not to be true in my case. After all I have been dealing with them for over five years. Best of luck to you in the future and in your college graduation. |
