World religions passing score? - DressageQueen - 08-06-2012

I am taking my first DSST exam on Friday (YIKES!!!) and I took a practice test today and got a 59. What is a passing score? What score is considered high on the exam? Also -- Any study advice for the Intro to World religions test? Any and all advice will be appreciated.
THANK YOU!!

On a scale of 200-500 the passing score is 400. The more important thing is that DSST exams with 400 passing scores have a published list of passing scores needed to reach 400. Depending on the exam version given to you the percentage to pass is 46-50%

See page two of this for more on the DSST scoring of the "refreshed exams":

426 is listed as the "B grade equivalent" for that exam:

Good Luck

Hi - I passed this test recently with a 481. I felt like it was a lot of memorization. I primarily used IC, plus Peterson's Guide to Mastering the DSST - Intro to World Religion is in Part II. These two combined were pretty much all I used. Peterson's covered some subjects IC did not touch on in as much detail (Indigenous Religions and Taoism come to mind). It helped that I found the subject pretty interesting.

Best of luck on your exam!

P.S. - I rode and showed reining horses for years - slightly different discipline, but I share some of your interests. :-)
