Does principles of statistics satisfy college level math general ed for a BA at TESC? - eshipley3 - 09-30-2012

I'm taking statistics through SL because I was originally going for a BA Psychology at TESC. Now I am thinking that BA Social Sciences might be a better path but I can't figure out if stats will count as my general ed math. I don't need the stats for social science but if it will satisfy the requirement then I will stick with it.

Thanks so much for any help, I'm new to this process and this forum seems to be where all the answers are.

Yes, Statistics should fit there. Unless otherwise stated on any degree, Statistics (STA) fits in as a Nat Sci/Math course. Even if it didn't fit, it would help you as an extra Nat Sci/Math course (which your degree requires) or as a general education elective (or even a free elective if you needed it). I used Algebra for mine so someone else might have the definite answer, the quick answer is even if it isn't able to fit there it will still help fill another spot (if you have the other spots open still).

Thanks for your reply. I know it will fill natural science/math and general elective but I already have those requirements taken care of which is why I ask. I just don't want to take stats and then find out I still need a college level algebra on top of it. Clearly I'm not a math guy Smile

Thanks so much for any help provided.
