New Study Source Specifically for CLEP Tests - sanantone - 11-19-2012
Education Portal is developing videos that are a lot like Khan Academy videos, but they are specifically made for CLEP tests. They have quite a few subjects that are more than 60% complete so far. I believe they plan on covering DSST and Excelsior exams in the future.

Their videos were all I used (along with the OCSG) to pass the Intro Psychology Clep with 67. So they're definitely good for that.
However, I applied for a Scholarship they advertised they were giving to the first 10 students each month who used their videos to prep for and pass Intro Pychology or Calculus, and I haven't heard from them since. I followed the rules and everything, testing November 1st. They provided a phone number but I called them twice--no one to answer the phone, and neither of my calls have been returned. So...that "scholarship" was a scam, I'm thinking. Just something to be aware of.

Well, that's disappointing. I was planning on taking calculus December 1st. Did you fill out the online form?

But Calclus sounds hard :leaving: not sure I would spend time on it just for the "scholarship"

Why do you think that? Are you speculating or did you find something about those exams on their website? I looked and didn't see any mention of those exams.

I understand the disappointment in not getting the so-called scholarship, but it seems that calling it a scam based on limited information could be a stretch. If I was providing a free service to the public, I might be a bit slow in checking my messages because I'd be busy spending time on things that actually pay the bills. I expect a much lower and slower level of service from free things.

I'm thinking about applying to this PhD program where I would need calculus. I've also been thinking about completing the BSBA at TESC or a science associates at a community college where I would need a higher math than college algebra.

It was either on a webpage or a video I watched, but I saw the ECE and DSST logos. I'll try to track it down later.

I found it. At the beginning of this video, they show the Excelsior and DSST logos.
The Lowest-Cost College Credit
The website also mentions Excelsior exams here, but it might be due to the fact that CLEP and Excelsior cover some of the same subjects.
Get Credit. Take the CLEP Exam.
However, I think the website is going to try to cover DSSTs and ECEs in the future, but it's going to take awhile.

Maybe it is how you say, but, for me, this experience has definitely tarnished their reputation.
