P90x vs Tapout xt VS rushfit - ffdpsoldier - 01-05-2013 I've tried p90x and had good results but I felt it was a little slow paced and the cardio was weak. I did insanity however the jumping and extra running I did injured my back. I've tried 1 video of the rushfit and felt it was ok. And I've seen reviews of tapout were people have burned 8-900 calories per dvd. I know its possible because I can burn about 750 an hr on the eliptical. I would like an honest review. I'm looking for something efective but won't break my back and isn't so slow were I only burn 3-400 calories on a good day. program Price and place you bought it from Extra equipment needed ie barbells, resistant bands Type of diet/meal plans Intensity of the workouts How quick was it when you saw results if any Calories burn with ea dvd or an avg. What results did you end up with after the program Overall evaluation of the product (0-10) be fair and grade each catagory. Ex. The meal plan lacked any depth and did not allow for adjustments. The nutrition plan was small and had no recipes. (3) but overall the product had a great workout system and a little pricy at $120 so I would rate an 8.5/10 P90x vs Tapout xt VS rushfit - sanantone - 01-05-2013 I only tried Power 90, the precursor to P90X. I think it's meant for the elderly and people more than 150 lbs overweight who can barely move. I didn't lose any weight. P90x vs Tapout xt VS rushfit - af2012 - 01-05-2013 I didn't like PX90 but I have TapOut & use that more than the PX90. The only thing I don't like about TapOut is that there is one video that is very heavy on pushups which are tough for me since I separated my shoulder a year ago. I'm always afraid of having my shoulder pop out of the socket again so I only do a few pushups (1-3) at a time. Amy P90x vs Tapout xt VS rushfit - ffdpsoldier - 01-05-2013 How far along are you on the tapout? What are your results from it? Any pros and cons. I've herd bad things about the small rubber resistance band that it has can you comment on this. Does it have a good meal plan or does it just say these are the foods to eat and avoid these others. P90x vs Tapout xt VS rushfit - ffdpsoldier - 01-05-2013 Also where did you buy it and for how much. P90x vs Tapout xt VS rushfit - mrs.b - 01-05-2013 I do not like videos all that much - they tend to get on my nerves - but if I'm stuck indoors, Insanity is my favorite. You do not need to start out like a pro. Modify as needed, take breaks as necessary. You'll be able to keep up eventually, but as in all things, pace and moderation will get you to the finish line faster and safer than trying to run before you learn to walk. Have you looked into kettlebells? You can combine cardio and strength in one workout, and can start slow to avoid injury and work your way up. There are a bunch of free videos on Youtube if you want a video, or just take them out on your back porch for an early morning sunrise workout once you learn the basic movements. No huge piece of workout equipment to trip over, they tuck nicely in a closet. P90x vs Tapout xt VS rushfit - bluebooger - 01-06-2013 equipment I've bought one kettlebell V3 Gray Series Kettlebell 14kg I love this kettlebell deciding whether to buy another one of the same weight or one of the next size up exercises I try to do Train Along With Me - Beginners Kettlebell Workout | myomytv.com | Free Fitness Blog Two Tier Kettlebell Workout | Strength and Conditioning - YouTube Feel It! Kettlebell Interval Home Workout with Tabata - YouTube The 20-Minute Fat-Burning Kettlebell Complex - Men's Fitness Plan B | Impromptu Kettlebell HIIT Workout - YouTube Full Body Kettlebell and BodyWeight Exercise Routine (HIIT Style) - YouTube Kettlebell Home Conditioning Workout Routine | Quadruplets! - YouTube I don't have a real routine. I just mix it up each time depending on how I feel. I rate the results very high -- I don kettlebells 10 - 20 minutes 2-3 times a week and I'm sweating like crazy afterwards. I've noticed a big improvement in upperbody strength, muscular endurance and cardiovascular endurance (I don't get out of breath jogging up 5 flights of stairs at work) I don't have a meal plan (other than -- stop eating a pint of hagen daz ice cream for dinner, stop eating a box of cookies for dinner, buy more bags of frozen vegtables that can be cooked easily and quickly in the microwave, eat more oranges, apples, blueberries, strawberries) P90x vs Tapout xt VS rushfit - ffdpsoldier - 01-06-2013 I want to stick with only these 3 workouts , reason is so I don't buy anymore workout equipment. I just wanted honest reviews of the three so I would know which on I should do. Should I stick with p90x or try the other 2. I don't like insanity I've tried it and didn't like it. By what I've seen from revies elsewhere rushfit talks a lot in the dvds. But only requires dumbells which I have. Tapout I've been tol is more fun than p90x insanity and rush fit. And having fun makes it more enjoyable an willingness to do it again. Rush fit I've been told gives you a plain diet guideline like what you read in school (fruits good, sugar bad). I'm really considarding tapout because it only requires bands and they make an easier switch than having all my weights spred out in my living room. On top of tappout I might also run 2-4 miles everyother day in order to boost my cardio endurance. My biggest problem has always been my diet. I'm a picky eat I don't eat veggies or fish (none!). I'm a basic. Meat eater. My diet last time I did p90x was lots of chicken and turkey. I droped from 185 to 167 in about 30 days. But I also used supplements and biked for an hour. Roughly 20 miles between 6-700 calories. My day started with p90x Breakfest - jimmy dean turkey sausage egg n cheese muffin Recovery protien shake (myogenix aftershock) Oxyelite pro to crush future cravings. Lunch - turkey burger with bbq sauce. Snacks banana protein bar Dinner- chicken sandwhich or chicken fajitas or lite pasta with lite sauce with 1 cut up chicken beast. Desert- greek yogurt with some mixed in fruit and cinnomon 2nd workout bike, with a (stacker3) 30mins prior to burn more calories. The main part of the post is to asses moving to another workout routine (tapout, or rushfit) or stick with p90x P90x vs Tapout xt VS rushfit - defscarlett - 01-06-2013 I'm not sure if you have an Xbox 360 at all but Nike kinect training is really good! P90x vs Tapout xt VS rushfit - Ace_King - 01-06-2013 I only do P90X on rainy days or when I just can't get to the gym/park to exercise. But it is a good alternative for those missed days. The problem with me and P90X is that the videos tend to get boring after a while, after seeing the videos over and over, it's like I form a special bond with the guy lol. So I exercise 4 days a week, cardio three days, weight train for one day. I am not trying to get extreme muscle and bulk up, I wrestled in highschool and didn't enjoy being the big guy at 200. I dropped to 157 and my goal is 140. I bought something called D4 Thermal Shock Pills (review it this brand is not well known and has good reviews), I know that any weight loss pills are bad for you. However, this one, I dropped weight and got very lean and cut. I sweat 2x more. I get higher energy from this, it's a great fat burner, the energy is outstanding and my appetite is controlled. I researched on what pills to buy and was very skeptical but without this I wouldn't have dropped the weight I had originally. One could say, you could lose weight, without weight loss pills and yes you could but I believe this one had some sort of help in my journey. The main goal as well is don't try to over do it. I could easily get on the treadmill and run for an hour and a half and burn 1,000 calories. But if one does that every single day , your body is going to get worn out and you will definitely give up on your goal. Mixing up exercises is the key, swimming, cycling, basketball, tennis, running, weight training. I tend not to do the same thing every day. I cut my exercise time to one hour and that is it. Anything over and I won't be able to function at work, literally. |
