Easiest MATH and Natural Sciences remedies - Naffy - 02-11-2013 Hi All, Haven't sat in a classroom or taken any kind of test in 15 years. I am banking all my credits from 4 different colleges I attended, to TESC. All I am missing is Eng Comp, 1 Natural Science and 1 Math requirement. I plan to clep Eng Comp. What do you recommend I do for the Math and Social Science. Has to be the easiest option. I want to graduate in June 2013 and I am currently enrolled for capstone. All advise would be really appreciated! Thanks! Easiest MATH and Natural Sciences remedies - Lady Grace of Pemberley - 02-11-2013 For math, I would go with an ALEKS course (probably Intermediate Algebra, but maybe statistics if you think you'd enjoy it), and for Natural Sciences, the Environment & Humanity DSST. Easiest MATH and Natural Sciences remedies - OE800_85 - 02-11-2013 Totally agree with above poster. Intermediate Algebra from ALEKS and environment and humanity DSST. As for math, if you have at least some skills that will come back upon diving in to the work, ALEKS.com will be of great use. Take Intermediate Algebra (which is actually lower level work than College Algebra) and you can transfer the credit over once you get 70% on an assessment and ask the ACE credit site to bring over the passing score. You could also take any of several exams, the easiest being College Mathematics CLEP (6 credits). Since you don't have any recent coursework in math, you'll probably like ALEKS.com better, it will give you assessments and teach you the material you struggle with for $20 per month. Note that the ACE credit site will have a seperate charge to send the transcript once your done. You can also do those courses through other colleges, at TESC, or through programs like Straigherline.com (http://myline.straighterline.com/search/search-for-course-equivalency/equivalency-search-results?from=4082&to=160) Good luck on your exam for College Composition and finishing your degree, Alex |
