Saylor.org for testing out - defscarlett - 03-13-2013 Has anyone used these classes for test prep for CLEP, DSST, ECE or TECEP's? Just curious if these would be a good structured way to learn material for testing out? How do the class learning objectives compare to the knowledge requirements for the tests? Saylor.org for testing out - sanantone - 03-13-2013 I wouldn't know because I haven't used Saylor courses as study resources, but I know that Excelsior recommends them for studying for ECEs. I'm not sure if the ECEs really line up with the Saylor courses. Soon, TECEPs will be lining up with Saylor courses. Saylor.org for testing out - Westerner - 03-13-2013 Saylor's HIST232: Modern Middle East and Southwest Asia was helpful for that DSST. I didn't get to use it as much as I liked but it'd be good to look at that. I'm studying for ECE World Conflicts now and Excelsior does recommend Saylor materials...I'll give that a look
Saylor.org for testing out - HorseManiac - 03-14-2013 I used their courses to study for both the Macroeconomics CLEP and the Microeconomics CLEP. I really like their courses. The mix of reading and visual was really great. It helped make it interesting. Before I started I took the Collegeboard breakdown and made sure that everything on the CLEP was covered by the Saylor course. I'm pretty sure it covered everything on the CLEP. Also, the time advisory for each unit is WAY too long. It usually didn't take me near as long on most of the sections as they said it would. Just an FYI. ECON102: Principles of Macroeconomics « Saylor.org â Free Online Courses Built by Professors ECON101: Principles of Microeconomics « Saylor.org â Free Online Courses Built by Professors The final exam wasn't too difficult either. I got 86% on both of the final exams. Hope this helps! |
