Some of the requirements make me scratch my head. More schools should be looking at the Big 3 as examples. The only school that seems to be trying to be innovative is Texas A&M - Commerce.

In Texas, everyone knows that Commerce is not even close to being on the level of College Station.

Some school in Texas and more elsewhere are marketing online programs in a manner similar to how the proprietary schools market degrees. StateU - Online Degrees Information and Directory

I enrolled in one of these programs and my son applied to another. There was a clear pattern of overpromising and underdelivering from the contract employees in the academic partnership program. Academically, regular school faculty teach the courses. The problem is with the marketing, not the courses.

oh I get it, they are all A&M colleges...but the "real" Texas A&M is the one in college station right? That's kinda stupid.

Rebel, you have no idea...

There are lots of reasonable Aggies out there but there is some serious snobbery going on in College Station. That is curious considering aTm is the 3rd or 4th best academic school in Texas.

I'm sure I ought to know this....but I really don't!
