TEEX at COSC - ZsaZsa - 06-21-2013

Just wanted to share that when I got my eval from COSC, the free TEEX courses transcribed as: ITE135 Security for IT Professionals; ITE750 Cyber Security for Everyone; and ITE 751 Cyber Security for Business Professionals. Each earned 2 credits, and all were categorized as Free Electives.

I'm not familiar with COSC's course numbering system. Were those UL or LL credits? Do you know if those would have counted as IT credits in an IT degree program?

LL credit. As far as whether they would count toward an IT degree...I don't know. The fact that they start with ITE is promising, but I'm liberal arts, not computers! Anyone else?

I think one of my kids is going to end up at COSC, but he's still a bit far away from enrolling. I'd love to know if these can be used in any of the computer degrees too.

I only took the Cyber Security for IT Professionals course and it shows up on my COSC eval like:

"TEEX 251 Cyber Security for IT Professionals (ITE145) P 2.00 (TR) Texas A & M Univ Engineering Ext"

ITE145 is their Systems Security class.
