Hey Everyone,
After long hours of research on this forum and with your gracious help, I have been putting together a degree plan for a TESC BSBA CIS. I have managed to slot in my prior 12 credits, and started knocking out some ALEKS and TEEX courses to get me up and going. I plan on doing some CLEPs and the SAYLOR courses next to help off some more general courses, and when it's time to enroll at TESC I've slotted in 8 TECEP exams to qualify for resident tuition. I've now a bright idea to help tackle the business core and electives and I'm looking for some input on how to continue.
What I would like to do is enroll in an Australian business college and take a slightly mixed version of one of their Accounting Certificate IV / Diploma programs. TESC reccomends AACRAO, ECE, WES or EP to certify international courses, and since the school is accredited by the government I don't forsee too many issues. The thing I'm curious about however, is how I might know before hand if the courses will transfer if I'm not planning on enrolling at TESC until my final year?
These are the four main courses I'm hoping will translate to the business core and ethics requirements, and the others I hope will count for business electives or general electives.
Certificate IV Courses

I'm really psyched about getting this setup since the cost is pretty reasonable at $3200 AUD for a 2 term / 6 month program. Getting a student visa is realtively painless and reasonably priced around $535 AUD, it also includes a 20hr/wk work permit! If anyone has any tips, suggestions or experience please lend some advice!

Wouldn't it be a whole heck of a lot cheaper, easier, and faster just to use Straighterline, Penn Foster, and/or CBEs?

Yeah, it probably would, though if I can get even 12 of the 18 "college weeks" to transfer for credit that's about $250 USD per credit and in-line with local community college prices. Not to mention the 6 months hanging out in Sydney with some friends who are there studying, plus the work permit will allow me to save some cash and add another international employer to my resume. So in this instance, it's really not about finding the absolute cheapest method, or finishing in record time. I'm prepared to go through a little hassle to do what I want, and why would I want to stay here in the snow!?

Alright.
I just emailed three of the foreign credit reviewers suggested by TESC (AACRAO, ECE and EP) concerning this unique situation, I also fired off some questions to TESC and Academies Australia. I will post my findings here in case someone else might be interested in doing their business core in Oz!

SWEET!
I have a partial answer to my questions concerning the Accounting program at Academies Australasia, Sydney. I was given some documents showing the amount of transfer credits for the diploma and advanced diploma programs, 24.5 and 24.0, respectively. The courses are not individualy matched, however the stated U.S. Equivilency is "One year of undergraduate study in accounting." Not bad for a 6-month, $3200 AUD program, assuming all the credits transfer in to TESC.
I'm still waiting to hear from them concerning a mix-n-match class selection between the Diploma/Adv. Diploma programs, and possible payment options.
