Tas filing question - Tax exemption - bs13 - 01-01-2014
I have spent money for Straighterline subscription, books, course purchase, Pen foster, Excelsior course registration and other ACE approved courses. Can I get tax exemption for these expenses?

You must be registered in a degree program for the American Opportunity Credit, so if you are enrolled in an Excelsior degree program you can claim it, otherwise you should be able to claim some of your expenses with the lifetime learning credit. Check out the information at the following link.
