I haven't heard anyone on here mention the Young Scholars Program through CSUDH and I thought I'd mention it (in case it interests someone).
If you are a junior or senior in high school (homeschooled works too) you can take classes through the Cal State Dominguez Hills Young Scholars Program for $3.50 per class. You can take 2 classes per semester and they are regular online courses (not work at your own pace).
I took Art Appreciation a couple years ago and then followed it up with DSST Art of the Western World.
My sister is taking Theater Appreciation (THE100) plus Planetary Science and Astronomy (PHY195) this semester and will follow it up with DSST Astronomy (which transcribes as astronomy, not physics).
The other options this semester are Health and Political Science (I think). Next year they will go back to Sociology, Marine Biology, Art Appreciation and something else that I can't remember
.Anyway, an inexpensive option for those of you still in high school who enjoy the semester format. Plus because it is with the Cal State system it will transfer just about anywhere.
Possibly a good option for those wanting to go the more traditional B&M route.

Do you not get credits for them? I know a couple people who might be interested, but curious as to why you took the DSST after?

I was hoping that this might be something that I could pass on to my nephew, but I'm not sure. Here's what I found...
It's only available to California students or those enrolled at one of their community colleges (online possibilities there I suppose): Young Scholars Program

Yep Cook, a few years ago the info wasn't on line. Now it is and much easier to find.
As for why I took the DSST after the online course, the info in the online Art Appreciation was a really good base for the DSST (Art of the Western World). Art App. transcribes different than the DSST so I was able to get credit for one course online then study just a little bit more and take the DSST and then get credit for that test.
That will be the plan for Planetary Science and Astronomy (which transcribes as PHY195). With that solid base of info, my sister should be able to study a bit more and then take the DSST (Intro to Astronomy).
