My Capstone started June 2. The mentor finally introduced himself on June 9. I asked him a question in the forum on June 4, June 10 and June 16. Have not heard back from him at all. I really need to know if I can do the Creative paper vs the research (I'm a music major) because the direction of the paper will be quite different. I submitted the assignment last weekend and I know it might take a week to grade (it's been 5 bus days) but I need it graded so I know if I'm using the correct format.
I don't know what I should do. If I complain, I'm afraid he will find out and there will be repercussions.

Try emailing. That worked for me, as far as getting faster replies from a mentor.

I don't know if all mentors are required to make themselves available by phone, by mine was. It proved to be invaluable to me, since she gave me direct guidance as to what a capstone should be and look like, and what subjects I could pursue. I'm convinced it's why I ended up with an A for the course.

Try emailing your mentor like Westerner stated. My mentor was great, but you had to email her. I was submitting questions on the mentor forum and did not receive any replies back. Once I emailed her I was receiving responses within 24 hrs. I know one person in my class did something creative and was about music as well. I don't know how it worked out for him?

Thanks for your responses. I emailed him 6 days ago and have received no response. I first asked him a question in the forum 24 days ago with no response.
He finally graded my first assignment (6 days ago) and I immediately emailed him back with my question, to no avail.
I am not happy.

I'm sorry to hear this. I also am a music major and the Capstone was the absolute worst experience of my whole college (just finished it). I hope you were able to complete yours?
