Can anyone take TEEX IT courses? - Drakemoore - 06-23-2014 I see a lot of people are starting to take the cyber security / IT courses from TEEX since they're free. I'm thinking of going into IT, and these look appealing and simple for me to do. However, when I try to register as a new participant on the TEEX website, it asks which government agency I'm apart of. So do you have to be employed by local / federal government to take these classes / earn credit from them? As laughter said, choose "other" for any of the fields that don't apply to you. Also, be sure to check out the instructions for applying for ACE credit. The classes have been grouped into tracks. Once you have completed all the classes in a track, you can apply for college credit through ACE (the American Council on Education.) Again, all these courses and the ACE credit are available to you at no charge. So you can learn something, get free college credit and come out ahead. It's just that simple. TEEX Cybersecurity |
