Does anyone know if ALEKS Trigonometry and Precalculus duplicate at COSC?

I was told by an adviser at COSC that you CANNOT get credit for both ALEKS Trig and Precalc. I chose Trig instead of Precalc because there were many fewer topics to master.
Things change, but for now I think this is the best use of the ALEKS courses at COSC:
Beginning Algebra
Intermediate Algebra
College Algebra
Trigonometry (or Pre-Calculus)
Intro to Statistics
Business Statistics (or Statistics for the Behavioral Sciences)
I was told that because of the overlap, they now take only two of the statistics courses and not all three.
