Humanities CLEP - chicaca - 08-08-2014 Prepping for the Humanities CLEP. Has anyone taken this recently. All suggestions/comments are appreciated. Thanks.
Humanities CLEP - bmurray885 - 08-09-2014 I am studying for this test myself, Im taking it this week. Either Tuesday or Wednesday. I am running through the Instantcert Flash Cards until I get 90's or better. I am also going through the Excel Study Guide in the Exam specific feedback forum and looking up anything on there that wasn't in the flashcards. Humanities CLEP - lwell14 - 08-18-2014 I just took this Humanities CLEP exam today and got a 53... way too close for comfort but beyond relief that I passed! I studied diligently 4 hours a day for the last two weeks and got a really strong grip on the IC flashcards (using Wikipedia as a learning too as well). I also viewed the excel spreadsheet that is floating around on the threads and I have to say... this test is even harder than I thought it was going to be!! Not wanting to exaggerate, but I think I only recognized maybe 1/3 of the questions even pertaining to information I read on IC. So needless to say I had to "guess" on a lot!! I really felt like I failed when I had completed the test, but was pleasantly surprised I would strongly suggest taking some sort of pre-test if possible. I did take the free-clep-prep test twice and got a 78% on it my second time so I thought I was prepared. But nonetheless, this was SO much more information than I was exposed to. I would maybe look into taking the Peterson's test that people are talking about on threads, that MAY at least expose you to new information that you wouldn't otherwise know. I felt like there were very few questions on artwork and architecture (which were my strongpoints). There were surprisingly a lot of questions about the Japanese period, so be prepared to know a lot about that. Best of luck on your education endeavors!
Humanities CLEP - Westerner - 08-19-2014 There are some excellent study guides posted in the Specific Exam Feedback section of this forum. You'll need to be a paid IC member to access that.
