Hi all.
I actually applied to TESC about a year ago, but was discouraged by the expensive tuition plans and opted not to continue further. I looked at other opportunities and recently came across the aforementioned website.

The information here is completely different from what I saw last year when I was doing research. A few discrepancies:
-I thought TESC wanted you to pay tuition prior to speaking to any advisors. I thought this was rather silly, since the tuition was $3k plus. Moreover, I also do not recall a per credit tuition plan, however it is on their website now. Is this new?
- the advice in question gives a price of $108 for each TECEP exam, the method used to satisfy the residency requirement. However, I found no mention of this pricing scheme on the TESC website, only under one of their "pre paid" tuition plans do they list a price for the TECEP exams.
It just seems so different from what I remember. I'd like some reassurance that this plan will in fact work before moving forward. I suppose that since the almost free college site has no pecuniary interest in the matter they have no reason to distribute false information, but all the cliches of "you get what you pay for" and "if it's too good to be true..." bounce around in my mind.

It's legit. It's a new option since last year. Taking the TECEPs are kind of a work around for actually taking the official classes through TESC.

Per-credit tuition is fairly new (and goodness, I wish it was in place when financing my own degree). Last year, sometime, it showed up as a payment plan.

There is now info on the TESC website about the Per Credit Tuition Plan. Saharapost used it to graduate. Daithi's website is already a little out of date. The tuition and fees went up in July.
