I was hoping that the Pathophysiology PLA I did for COSC would also score me the 1 lab credit needed...not! I've been performing and interpreting labs in my nursing job for 29 years, now apparently I have to go back and build a volcano or dismember a frog.
What is the SIMPLEST and QUICKEST 1 credit science lab out there? (Cheap is good...but at this point- looking at a December graduation date, I can't afford to be picky.) :confused:

Do you need to have the lecture portion and the lab portion? For example, some colleges won't give you credit for a lab if you don't have the lecture portion. Straighterline offers standalone labs for chemistry, biology, and anatomy & physiology 1 and 2. The A&P courses require very expensive lab kits. University of New England also offers standalone labs for chemistry I and II and organic chemistry I and II. The courses are $315. Organic chemistry uses a virtual lab; I don't know how much it costs. Chemistry uses Labpaq. My guess is that the Labpaq is around $100.

this can be completed really quickly, but they seem to require the lecture part along with the lab

The OP of that thread found that the 1-credit lab for Descriptive Astronomy through the University of Idaho Independent study met the requirement at a cost of $125 plus textbook.

Labpaq brand is expensive- That was the brand assigned to me through Ocean County College. Mine were always in the $200-$300 range.

I guess it depends on what the school requires. The Labpaqs for TESC's physics courses are $115.

Yes of course. Labpaq is a supplier, so you purchase the pac based on your school id number. I did find a SAMPLE of one school's bookstore list. This is an EXAMPLE of what a Labpak MIGHT cost to give the OP a GENERAL idea.

Be advised that this class will take at least 6 weeks to complete unless you are able to get some kind of special exception from the professor. If I am remembering correctly, each lab component (5 total) had to be graded before the next could be submitted, and only one submission could be made per week. The final must be mailed in by your proctor and graded. Of course, then the transcript must be sent and received.

I took this class and knocked it out in a few days. The labs are split up into four sections. For each section I think you had to score an 80, but then you keep taking the test until you score the 80 to unlock the final exam for that section. I would take the test multiple times even when I scored the 80 and print out each one or save them into a PDF. Easy A
