Capstone Required or Another Outside Credit Replace It? - gmx0 - 02-28-2015 I hear Capstone is required for most Bachelor's degrees, but is there any outside equivalent credit (hopefully less expensive) that can replace it on the degree template? It's the last course I need to take, but it's over my Financial Aid, so I'm seeing if there is alternate ways. I've heard it's possible to graduate still without any classes from TESC, but I'm still figuring out if that only applies to some degrees (like History). Capstone Required or Another Outside Credit Replace It? - sanantone - 02-28-2015 All of TESC's BA degrees require a capstone that has to be taken with them. The only capstone I know of that can be transferred in is Strategic Management for the business administration programs. Capstone Required or Another Outside Credit Replace It? - corpsole2 - 02-28-2015 It seems intimidating at the outset, but you will be so satisfied when you complete it with TESC. I had an outstanding mentor in Dr. Rosenbaum-Haydel. She took the time to explain what was expected of me. Another student gave me their capstone that gave me an idea as to the format. For the first few weeks it was like drinking from a firehose, but it wasn't so bad as it ended. This course is designed for the student to explore other ideas and subjects that they might not study in their major. This is why it is called an interdisciplinary degree. You will explore and do some in depth research in a subject that you might not necessarily be good at or interested in, but you might find a new passion for having studied it. So, don't fight the requirement. Just don't hesitate to lean on others to give advice on how to get through it. |
